Brewin' Black

HAPPY BLACK PEOPLE MONTH!!! On this episode, we come for your King... Jay Z for his antics with the NFL.  We have to ask, is he for the people or for the bag? Next, we look at the blasphemous video that was Meg the Stallion & G-Easy as a way to start a real conversation around inter-racial dating. We explore is it different when Black women date outside the race compared to Black men. Finally, with Gervonta Davis's domestic assault in mind, we question the relationship between men and violence.

Introduced this week is local artist: Impact RH. New album Norf Pole available via Apple Music and Spotify.

Airing a few days after the tragic accident that took the life of 9 people, this episode is dedicated to the leagcy of Kobe Bean Bryant.  On this episode: we discuss the importance of Mamba menatlity, we recap the Kobe vigil that took place at the Black Community Center on campus, we take a look at the NBA activity on that tough day and wonder if we're ever allowed to space and time to properly grieve, and we discuss irresponsible journalism in the wake of Kobe's death.

In this episode, we discuss the importance of Martin Luther King Day, recap the annual memorial of Bunchy Carter and John Huggins @ UCLA, and by looking at the cases of Delonte West & Aaron Hernandez we question: Does the world care about Black & Brown people? Or do they just see our bodies as entertainment?

Welcome to Brewin' Black.
