Theresa May’s government faced a massive defeat in Parliament with a 230 vote loss on their Brexit withdrawal agreement. Jeremy Corbyn, the Opposition Leader, has immediately launched a confidence vote in the government. Phil Dobbie talks to NAB’s Gavin Friend in London about what happens next. The size of the defeat seems to have spooked the markets. They also discuss weaknesses in US and European data and China’s latest attempts to boost their economy.
