It's been a crazy past couple of weeks, but we're back! Between surviving two hurricanes, drinking like we were teenagers and covid...we made it out alive (Megan's voice might not be too convincing though lol)! If you have been following the queen's passing, you may have noticed flights, funerals & surgeries are being postponed in observance of the queen. It's that special week of the year where we both have a birthday!!! If you're new here we're only two days apart so the celebration lasts all week....well month if we're being honest! Although we love the attention, the aging part has started to become a little less fun as we talk about this year's birthday plans, so we're thanking botox this week for allowing us to age gracefully! Megan shares her spa day plans & Courtney is turning the big 3-0! We're not sure if it's the heat or the pre birthday excitement but we're feeling a little unhinged this week and holding nothing back! So many weddings, so little time! We've been booked and busy this week with travel and social events but it couldn't keep us from covering two of the most highly anticipated weddings of the year! This week needed no topic as the celebs and social media were keeping us thoroughly entertained! After a 3 year engagement Sarah Hyland & Wells Adams tie the knot! It was the modern family & bachelor nation collab that we never saw coming, and the wedding guests photos still have us freaking out! We're switching it up this week and putting our wedding knowledge to the test! For our 50th episode we're playing some trivia and quizzing each other with 50 wedding related questions! Megan switches up the fun fact with some tips on what kind of date to bring as a plus one (and tbh it feels like the plot of a hallmark Christmas movie). Megan also gives us the Martha Stewart stamp of approval on the dos and dont's of plus one etiquacy. Megan found a story on twitter of a bride who's wedding dress was lost on a flight to her destination wedding! Enthralled by the story, she phoned a friend (and devoted listener) who is a flight attendant to get her take and received some great travel tips for any future destination brides or guests! Key take away here - kindness is key!!! With this story at top of mind, we searched high and low for the ultimate destination disasters and this week's stories do not disappoint! This week's fun fact, Megan is throwing out statistics! Did you know that 25% of weddings are now destinations?? Courtney shares a story from the news this week about a legal dispute between a bride's family and a venue! Any judge Judy's out there that could give us their take on this?? Moving on to this week's stories, we cover it all! What would you do if your venue was sold....to a swinger's wellness group? What happens when your aunt is so mad your wedding is on a Sunday she tries to prevent anyone else in the family to attend?  If you prepaid to attend a destination wedding and it was canceled, would you still go?
