The Gent joined Russ online to dissect the concluding half of the double bill with LFC, where our hosts prevailed 2-1 in a closely fought, high quality encounter.

Glad to be back at The Glad for the first time in quite a while! We welcomed Dutch Albion fan Jeroen Jansen to the pub to tell us how he came to be a Seagull, how to pronounce the names of our Dutch playing contingent, that Joel Veltman used to be his neighbour! and to talk about former Netherlands players at the club.

Pete and Russ welcomed Away Boys member Hayden Baker and club match commentator Peter Vale back on to give us their thoughts on all things Worthing FC: last season’s roller coaster of a season that included losing their manager and going all the way to the final of the play offs, only to be beaten in dramatic style; the major refurb of Woodside Road, the excellent and very touching new TNT Sports documentary featuring owner George Dowell about his challenging backstory and WFC’s promotion bid of last season; the new season to date including another decent cup run to the first round proper of The FA Cup; and the attractive 1st Rd draw at home to Morecambe FC; plus a bit of chat about Albion and about the appointment of Thomas Tuchel to the England hot seat!
