    Liz Mitchell and Cornelius Wright host a discussion on the recent Bloomington rally for Black Lives Matter with Lia Robinson, and Amrita Myers. Residents packed the Monroe County Courthouse square to listen and understand better the racial issues and injustices struggle with every day. Lia Robinson is the Black Lives Matter march organizer, and Amrita Myers is a history professor.

Residents packed the Monroe County Courthouse square to listen and understand better the racial issues and injustices struggle with every day. Lia Robinson is the Black Lives Matter march organizer, and Amrita Myers is a history professor. Bloomington Police Department has improved relations and continues to take steps on improvement. Mayor Hamilton said Black Lives Matter is another chapter in an ongoing story of American civil action. Nonetheless, as Amrita Myers states, African Americans are tired of seeing another black male shot; worrying about loved ones and partners not returning home.

    William Hosea and Clarence Boone talk with 3 special guests from sub-Sahara Africa. The U.S. State Department’s Mandela Washington Fellows for Young African Leaders brought 25 young leaders to the US for several weeks. These Fellows are leaders who have established records of accomplishment in promoting innovation and positive change in their organizations, institutions, communities and countries. On this 4th of July, hear how the American experiment impacts these leaders, and at the same time how America gains wisdom from these African leaders.

    Sylvester Andamowei SEDE (NIGERIA), who is a media professional with over eight years’ experience in creative innovation, media production, and programming in community development. He has worked extensively with over 300 youths and women in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. Sylvester is currently the MD of a media firm, Sylverflame Media Ltd, and president of the Creative Arts for Peace Initiative, a youth NGO.

    Zemedena Abebe ARERU (ETHIOPIA), who is an activist and involved in mentoring high school girls toward reducing gender-based violence, environmental education and hygiene and sanitation strategies.

    Zukiswa Yoliswa Zinhle NZO (SOUTH AFRICA), is an advocate and community leader who strives to address issues of inequality of diverse groups, especially disability.

    William Morris is an attorney who is with Indiana Legal Services. His father was the first Black to become a licensed real estate agent in Indiana. Donald Griffin has served his community for over 20 years as a real estate broker. An agent since 1992, Donald started his own agency in 2003.
