In this episode of the podcast we chat all things hot sauce creation with Dr Pauls Hot Sauce from Perth in Western Australia.
Paul is a local hot sauce icon in Perth and has a wide range of hot sauces with different heat levels. We talk how he got started, produce, what goes in to his flavors, advice for those looking to start a hot sauce brand and some funny stories on peoples reactions to his Ruby Reaper (damn hot) Hot Sauce, which was named after his daughter.
A great laid back chat, you expect from an Australian, and it was a pleasure chatting with him. I hope you enjoy this episode and as always please let me know if you have any questions at all or ideas for the podcast.
Regards, Cameron (www.lordrascal.com)
In today's episode of the podcast we get fired up by Sufia the owner and hot sauce creator behind the brand Silly Chilly Hot sauce.
For Sofia Silly Chilly Hot sauce started with a dream. It was a simple dream: to win the national prize and title, “Hottest of Hot Sauces.” Overtime, that dream developed into a goal. Many have asked, why hot sauce, though? I am a graduate of F.I.T. working in the confines of the fashion industry in New York City.
Her old life consisted of board meetings, hunting for the latest style trends, and staying caught up with “who’s who” and “what’s what” of the Big Apple. From the outside looking in, I was far from being a connoisseur of the kitchen. And though I enjoyed my work in fashion, there was a little, nagging voice in me telling me “this isn’t my dream.” I decided to listen to my instinct and find my passion.
This episode of the podcast is all about how Sufia started with her chili sauce brand and her beliefs behind her product.

Welcome to the very first edition of bringing the heat. The podcast that talks all things chili related with the people behind the most iconic hot sauce brands, small batch hot sauce creators or influencers in the hot sauce and chili space.
As a background, we originally started this podcast journey well over 2 years ago and unfortunately because of other commitments, shelved it along with the first interviews we completed.
It is now time to fire it back up, resurrect and release the archived recordings to you as well as create a whole new batch of interviews which we are going to stream live as well as via this podcast.
We will be talking to people to find out what the secret sauce is behind their brand or chillie obsession and delving deep in to their stories
Please join us for the ride and would love to hear any comments or interview suggestions you may have.
Let’s fire this up
