Hung Cao, running for United States Senate to challenge Tim Kaine in Virginia, shares his personal story as a Vietnamese immigrant and a retired Navy Captain. Cao’s family fled Vietnam in the 1970s and made it here to “the most generous nation on earth.” Having grown up Buddhist, Cao became a Christian while in the Naval Academy. He continually shared his faith on the battlefield with fellow SEALs team members in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia.
Cao challenges that it’s our obligation to make America “a more perfect Union” because “If America fails, there is nowhere else to go.”
