The second premier of British Columbia is also one of the most famous premiers the province ever had.

Calling himself Lover of the Universe, Amor De Cosmos was a major reason that British Columbia joined Confederation. He pushed for responsible government & free enterprise but today is remembered for his racist attitudes and later mental breakdown.
