FIDO FRIDAY! This week we have adoptable Lulu from The Foster Farm!

Lulu is the perfect combination of silly and sweet. She is eager to please, loves her human and dog companions, and believes she's a professional MMA wrestler in her spare time.Lulu came to us from a rural shelter in South Carolina with her ten puppies.

When they arrived, Lulu had no hair due to severe flea infestation combined with mange, she was extremely underweight, and she had BB pellets embedded in several places under her skin. It took weeks for shelter workers to earn her trust, and as soon as they did, Lulu and her puppies tested positive for parvo despite strict quarantine procedures at the shelter. Luckily, Lulu and her puppies received early treatment and they all survived! Lulu's ten puppies were quickly adopted, but Lulu had a much harder time with trusting both new humans and new environments.

Lulu's foster mom worked hard for months to build up her confidence, get her used to leash-walking, and to teach her what toys are! Now Lulu absolutely loves to play, especially with other dogs of all sizes. Lulu derives confidence from having another dog and can only go to a home with at least one other medium-high energy pup. She is extremely silly and her zoomies are incredibly fun to watch!

Lulu is wonderful with women and kids 10+ and does warm up to men given time and treats. She is a pup who loves to use her paws to "boop" both human and dog family members, so families should be able and willing to use appropriate positive redirection.Lulu is wonderful in the car, walks well on a leash, and is learning that outings and adventures are fun opportunities rather than scary experiences.

Lulu is crate trained and house trained, as well as medically cleared to go home! She takes prozac once a day to help her with her fears -- she loves to scarf up her meds with peanut butter.If you’re interested in adopting Lulu, you can find more info at https://thefosterfarm.org
