Emphasizing Ephesians 4: 1-3, Pastor Ryan now teaches on the challenge that small group community holds for the believer. He shares from God's word that unity of the Spirit is not our creation, not our idea, not our preference - we must make "every effort" to live out the Gospel life together!

Pastor Ryan uses this short, new series to explain, exhort, and prepare our Broadway community of the importance of small groups, and the value they hold as a vehicle to promote the maturity of Christliness in the believers' lives. Tis sermon also provides a gateway to the vision of our church, to emphasize afresh the small group ministry that has been a keystone to BCC's discipling expression.

Hebrews 10:23-25 is our focus Scripture for today.

Today we have a guest speaker, Chaplain Patrick Riecke. He shares from his professional skills, and from his heart, on the calling we have to minister to the sick, dying or grieving people in our lives.

Our missionaries from Hungary, Matt and Melissa Edwards, have visited us for several weeks. Today, Pastor Matt finishes their visit with an important study on Acts Chap. 26, using Paul's evangelistic message to the authorities as a tool to teach US on how to share the Gospel News, that Jesus loves you and died for our sins, and rose from the dead to avail us of eternal life!

Pastor Ryan continues on the subject began last week on using our Spiritual Gifts. Continuing in I Cor. 12-14, today we focus on the goals of the Gifts, that is, to build up the whole Church of Jesus Christ, and to practice loving one another in the Spirit.

Pastor Ryan shares about the freedom in using our Gifts, and the responsibility to do so.

We are again in I Corinthians 12 -14, learning of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Today Pastor Ryan shares with us on learning what your spiritual gift is, allowing the congregation to ponder significant verses from the passage, and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal this to each. Pastor Ryan also shares about the goals of the Gifts - to build the whole Church; to practice loving one another, to learn to exercise our gifts in freedom, and that using them IS a responsibility we all have.

Pastor Ryan introduces us to a new series today. The logical outcome is the Fruit of the Spirit - we talked about this. Now we learn the tools the Spirit blesses us with in order to produce His Fruit. I Cor. 12 is discussed at length, showing us what these gifts are and what they are for (to build the Body). Pastor Ryan compares this to Jesus - His body is the Bread, offered to us as a ransom for all. What "bread" do we bring to the table?

The last sermon in this series, Pastor Ryan exemplifies this cardinal Fruit, love, through a detailed, adoring discussion of John 15:1-16, how Jesus shared and demonstrated His Love to the apostles at the Last Supper.
