Through the coming of the Messiah Jesus, God's Glory (once departed from the Temple as Ezekiel had to proclaim) returns to the Temple, the place where Heaven and earth meet! Through Jesus, God's Glory returns to His temple with compassion and zeal. And, as Jesus proclaims, thanks be to God that the Temple experience (where to meet God) is transferred to our bodies, declared the temple of the Holy Spirit.

For Israel this was a sign of God's great promise, and also a symbol of Israel's great tragedy-it was not the place to humbly meet God, but became instead a source of great pride, and Ezekiel had to tell the people that God "has left the building"!

We look into the picture of God IN His temple, as expressed by Isaiah. Here we see the evidences of God being near us: it is dangerous, good, holy, and healing be near the Living God!
