Yesterday we learned that one in five US adults are “spiritual but not religious,” choosing to believe in a “higher power or spiritual force,” rather than the biblical God.
Now this is a good reminder of the biblical truth that we’re built for eternity. You see, young people have been fed the lie of atheism, but many are now realizing how empty it is and are turning to other things for meaning, purpose, and hope. But they’re turning to other broken cisterns that cannot provide the living water they desperately need! The only person who can supply living water is Jesus Christ through his death for our sins and his resurrection.
