“Pride goeth before destruction, And an haughty spirit before a fall.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:18‬. This should give us great caution in addressing the matter of pride. 

Every time a tragic event happens we are all shocked at how anyone could do such a thing whatever that thing is. While I am grieved at wicked acts whatever they might be I am not shocked. Are we shocked because our starting premise is incorrect, I believe this is the case.

I will Still do my podcast but this is one of the reasons I have not been posting as much. My format is the same, my focus is the Bible and what it says across every topic. I realize every single issue isn't explicitly mentioned in scripture, but we can definitely piece things together from the truth we find in the Bible.

This subject produces much anger and tension From People of differing beliefs and I get it we don't all think alike. This isn't necessarily for people who don't believe the Bible, not that it isn't applicable just that if you do not believe the Bible it is not your guide and to you holds no authority. For those who believe the Bible do not let the world define for you what God has already defined and established.

We have decided in our own earthly wisdom that we have the best solutions. And as far as I can tell this isn't working out well societally, We have wrought death destruction and chaos. So at what point do we finally repent and come before God humbly for true wisdom.

Habakkuk continues in his prayer covering the exodus of Israel, and their habitation in the promise land after driving out the heathen nations that resided there.

Have we misunderstood the fear of the Lord? Have we had a proper reverance for God? As I read Proverbs 1:7 I asked Myself these questions and reevaluated the Biblical Concept of  the Fear of The Lord.

The Babylonians are lifted up they believe themselves untouchable and in that pride, they build up the ground for their own destruction.
