How much do we actually believe and trust God? Next Time you pray ask yourself do you actually trust and have faith in the fact that this prayer can absolutely be answered. Not that we can claim it will be answered that would put us in the all-knowing category, that belongs to God alone. Whether it is in God's will to take our life in the direction of our prayer request is known by God not us, our knowledge is after a thing not before.

When you sin what do you do next? This is a fairly simple question or it should be. I have personally for years gone through this back and forth and it can be very tumultuous. The tendency is to give up and this is the exact point of sin to bring death and destruction. We can't walk in darkness and claim fellowship with God, We also can not fall to the trap of thinking we will never have to confess sin and repent. 

In come the Chaldeans, namely Nebuchadnezzar Gods vessel for judgment upon the nations. The level of violence and brutality was turned up considerably under Neo Babylonian rule, which was more than likely unexpected by the worlds inhabitants.

            Why was it such a surprising thing for God to tell Habakkuk to prophesy of the rise and take over of the Chaldeans via Babylon their seat of power. The Babylonians with help from the Medes sacked Assur the spiritual seat of the Assyrian empire and then Nineveh the very seat of Assyrian power. To this point Babylon was a proxy kingdom with puppet rulers put in place by the kings of Assyria and posed no credible threat .

In the garden eve blames the serpent and Adam points to eve. As much as things change they stay the same, much of what we the body of Christ see as problems with world wickedness is actually a problem with our rebellion.

The Prophet Habakkuk was grieved at what he saw both from the Assyrian empire and the southern kingdom. He wants to see God intervene, and wonders why Gods hand has been stayed for so long.
