Unce...tice...fee times a conspiracy! 

It was an eventful weekend and Brother is feeling very serious about it. Sister has the nerve to bring up Shannen Doherty.

What starts as two idiots discussing the attempted assassination of a former/potential future president ends up in airline complaints and favourite conspiracies.

Did Barbara Bush get sucked out a plane window? Who shot JFK? Is the earth flat? Who ordered the assassination of Malcolm X? AND WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?

Brother finally tells the story of the possible crime he committed in what may or may not have been the 8th grade. But is he a reliable narrator?

Was it attempted murder? A childish prank? Will his accomplice break down and confess? Sister talks about having to lock herself in the bathroom afterschool for safety, with only The Babysitter's Club to comfort her until their parents got home.

In an attempt to be more professional, the Sibs start with some promotions. Allison also fixes a big oversight from the previous episode, in which she was educating Jon about the series Fallout and forgot to mention a very important cast member.

Jon reveals he had an idea for something to talk about but feared his partner Christina wouldn't like it, so he changed his mind... and then fully talks about it. They both weigh in on the controversial topics of whistling at night and catcalling.

Brother got tested as a child and was found wanting, but Sister didn't have the clearance level to know that. He also once again alludes to a crime he committed in his youth but won't say what it was.

Sister remembers that she looked up why dixie is a bad word, which of course leads to a fight.

They end the episode by answering the Pivot Questionnaire, which James Lipton used to ask guests on Inside the Actor's Studio, which of course leads to a fight.

Brother has sunstroke, Sister is tired from working all day, and they’ve both been drinking…how could this go wrong? Allison can’t stop laughing for the beginning of the episode, and Jon tells listeners about the filth in her garage. There’s a bit of a lull as they talk about furniture, and which countries the pod has been downloaded in, and they disagree over whether they should cut it out. But Sister does the editing so she won.

Allison is horrified to learn Jon doesn’t know who Walton Goggins is, but Chumbawumba reunifies them.

Things get dicey when they start talking about immigration, but then someone burps and derails them. So naturally Brother steers them back into weird waters, which Sister makes weirder by brining up The Chicks, whom Jon didn’t know underwent a name change, leading to two dummies trying to figure out stuff without looking it up. 

Another fight happens when Sister doesn’t share Brother’s high bar for lawn care, nor does she seem to respect his service.

Once again in their childhood home, Brother is drinking an alleged beer and Sister is  having a coffee. The Sibs are finding items to reminisce about, including another cassette tape, some of Jon’s earliest stand up material, and why the FBI might be after their dad.

Then - a competition arises, the outcome of which will definitively decide once and for all who the smartest member of the family is. Allison makes a prediction of how it will go, Jon makes and then attempts to change the rules, and at the end of it…does anyone really win?

Which of these two idiots will be crowned the smartest?!?

Right out of the gate Brother triggers Sister by talking about Canadian Idol, but she calms down and he tells some stories about his big job on television. A behind the scenes story leads to another disagreement about food.

Recording from their childhood home offers examples of their family dynamic, plus a lot of nostalgia and the reality of being out and about in their hometown now that they’re full blown adults.

The difficulties of aging in the entertainment industry concerns The Sibs, which is why they appreciate the Rolling Stones and shows like Grace & Frankie.

Then they somehow get into celebrity podcasts, faux spiritualism, Allison being mad at Oprah, and why David Letterman is the best. Then Jon goes on a monologue about David Spade’s fabulous career, and abruptly ends the show.

Brother is sleep deprived once again, as he is on tour and travelling all over the place. Sister is on top of the world as they do emotional inventory and trying to figure out what words mean. 

A discussion of Miami Vice, The Insider, their love of actor Bruce McGill, and Edgar Allan Poe leads to the story of when their house was burglarized as kids.

As Jon goes to verify what items were stolen with their parents, Allison speaks directly to the listeners. 

Allison reveals she once committed a robbery and Jon unveils his overhaul of the public school system.

Jon gives Allison a do over by playing someone she recently interviewed, and a discussion about famous actors who have bands causes him to abruptly end the episode.

This episode starts with Brother and Sister taking emotional inventory to see where they’re at. After Jon’s baby falls in a ditch, they discuss the purposes of ditches, both official and clandestine.

Brother is on a journey to quit smoking but apparently Sister is taking it too seriously and isn’t any fun, which leads her to discuss her epiphany that she did her life wrong.

This leads to a discussion on negative feedback from strangers, social media, and why not every complaint is equal.

After a quick check in on emotional inventory (it’s their new thing) after a more serious topic, Jon reveals he’s having some anxiety about the week ahead, so Allison tells a cute story about her friend Emili’s kid, which Jon matches with a cute story about his daughter Emma.

First Ed paints a picture of his hometown and current residence Cape Breton (so many goddamn musicians!), then we step into the past to find out how Ed first met Brother, and how he helped birth The Jon Dore Television Show into existence. 

In addition to behind the scenes talk about TJDTS, we hear about Ed's time on This Hour has 22 Minutes, how it's going writing his third novel, and what celebrities he just can't bear to meet. 

Ed's favourite films might be arty and obscure, but he explains why he also likes big blockbuster films, and after a quick squabble between Brother and Sister he also tells us about his favourite Canadian film.

The early bird gets the incoherent rambling! It’s 6 am, Brother is getting ready to go to the airport and Sister is trying to turn on her brain. 

After some sound effects to warm up, and secrets are kept, they talk the joy of some comedy festivals and how Dylan Mandlsohn owes Jon $4,700.

Another brief fight over the therapy in the box cards leads to Jon doing a deodorant application tutorial, and then Jon shames Allison for her aunting style.

Things get real talking about a death in the family, but quickly turns to ice cream, candy and fights.
