  • Episode 35 - After the Cold Rush

After a week off while Jackson dealt with the effects of a little covid, the boys are back. Is a Nintendo Mini Partner Showcase as good as a real Direct? Well, no, but there were a few interesting games shown. Also, lots of things have come out in the last two weeks, and many other things have targeted releases.

Other topics include: Bill reveals the titles of his next 3 books, and they sound like they're going to be must-reads; Jackson records his audition for the next Mario movie; Bill thought of a game but then forgot it and wanted that section cut, but I left it to be a jerk.

Also: is Bad Boys the greatest franchise of all time? Find out here! Spoilers: no, no it's not.

  • Episode 34 - Voyage of the Dong Treader

Sea of Thieves players will be able to name their ships soon. No way that goes badly, as online game players have a history of being polite and respectful of others at all times. We also give  some quick thoughts on the Summer Gameys thus far, the lack of a confirmed Nintendo Direct, and Sonic Frontiers.

And of course, we talk about the big questions. Is New York too big? Is air travel absurd? Is Silksong really coming?

  • Episode 33 - A Handy State of Play Review

The big news from the last week was Sony's latest State of Play, which we talk about in depth, especially the disconcerting VR hands. We also discuss important topics like the wisdom of abducting Liam Neeson, Contra-based nightmares, and how Bill made it to 2022 without even a passing knowledge of NES classic A Boy and His Blob.

We also tackle the tough questions. Which are the best songs from each Frozen movie? Does the Nintendo Seal of Quality mean anything? What the hell is going on with the playoff structure in The Mighty Ducks? All that and much more this week.

  • Episode 32 - Back From a Brief Break

After a week off, we're back with the hard-hitting journalism you've come to expect. Except it's the end of May, and nothing is really happening. Will that stop us from delivering quality content? Of course not!

In this episode, we'll discuss a wide range of books and TV shows, speculate on the currently unconfirmed Nintendo Direct that we've decided is coming this month, wax nostalgic about the old days of video gaming, and more.

Also, is Jackson getting a PS5? Only time will tell!

  • Episode 30 - Well-Armed Scarecrows

  • Episode 29 - Embrace the Future

The Embracer Group owns over 100 development studios, but they don't own them all. Yet. They have taken another step toward a full Embracer future this past week, and I, for one, welcome our new overlords. We also lament the lack of a Seinfeld game and flex our extensive knowledge of ships!

  • Episode 28 - Bill's Big Buy

Bill has made BvB history! Sadly, he did not have much of a chance to take advantage of it. Lots of new things that may make their way to a backlog or two are talked about this week. We also have our usual bear-based fearmongering, some strong opinions about 3D swimming in games, and ideas for a new PlayStation Plush tier. That is not a typo.
