Bruce Pearl, the man who elevated Auburn basketball to national relevance with two Final Four appearances and countless NBA talents, is officially stepping down. Auburn wasted no time naming Steven Pearl the new head coach. While some may question the move, insiders know Steven is a respected defensive mind and tireless recruiter who has earned this shot.

On the football field, Auburn suffered a heartbreaking 24–17 loss to Oklahoma. SEC officials admitted errors after the game, including a blown trick play and a controversial overturned fumble. Hugh Freeze voiced his frustration, but Auburn still showed flashes of being a dangerous SEC contender. Jackson Arnold battled through ten sacks, Cam Coleman was unstoppable at times, and the defense stood tall against one of the nation’s best teams.
