Bside Incoming: Jasper Tygner

A Bside Incoming from London based DJ/Producer whose studio jams have been lighting up the internet in recent times. He’s recently crafted a rave inspired debut EP called Eyes Open on Silver Bear Recordings , where past guest Lawrence from Wayward heads up the A&R.

His love for Jungle and UKG really shines through in this episode as he invites us to listen to the producers that have inspired and influenced his own work. His own studies under Grammy-nominated Grammy-nominated film composer Stephen Endleman have also served to bring a dramatic cinematic feel to his release.

Bside Incoming: Cortese

This week’s episode of Bside Incoming, invites a Brighton based duo to show off their favourites, old and new, from the flip side of their record collection. It’s Cortese.

Their career was kickstarted by their 2019 release of ‘Renault Sport’. Since then, with releases on Shall Not Fade’s sub label Tin White and Fort Romeau’s renowned Cin Cin label, Cortese have cemented themselves as serious producer’s of the underground scene.

It is always a pleasure to explore the depths of such talented producers’ collections, and hear the sounds that inspire them: From techno rollers to lo-fi house, Cortese bring a deep and dark energy with warm synthy overtones.

Bside Incoming: Manuel Darquart

Up next we have Manuel Darquart with an eclectic offering for Bside. Originating from New Zealand, the duo first released in 2016 before moving to London. Since the move to the big smoke, they have released on Coastal Haze, Childsplay and CC Disco’s first compilation. The pair have also released on the renowned Dutch label Infinite Pleasure and London’s Wolf which led to a remix EP from non other than Don Carlos. Over time they have played at Corsica, The Cause & Ministry of Sound and an all-nighter at the famous Spiritland.

Kick-back and enjoy this classy contribution to the 'Bside Incoming' series with the NZ duo delivering a warm, breezy selection spanned over the course of two fine hours.

Bside Incoming: Nenagh

For our 130th show we are flying to the other side of the world yet again, this time to gain an insight into the collection of the mysterious sounds of Nenagh.

Born and raised in the electronic-music-rich city of Melbourne, it is no wonder Nenagh has been exposed to a wealth of top-tier records and has become an enthusiastic collector of a range of genres from darker club thumpers to ambient soothers. Her selections have given her the opportunity to play in prestigious clubs over the last few years such as Sub Club, Colour and 524 Flind, as well as co-running the night in Melbourne - Vortex.

When not playing to dancing crowds, she produces under the name Amulet along with Morgan Wright as well as recently graduating as a library technician during the continued club drought in Australia.

Her Bside both reflects her diverse taste in electronic music and showcases her signature darker sound. Expect eerie chuggers, experimental techno, calming progressive ambiance, explosive acid, slapping percussion and much more.

Having spent seven years in Tokyo, Millie has nurtured a loving familiarity for an Asian style in her selections, a passion for the otherworldly that has thrived with her friend Michaela Greibach as ‘Loose Leaf’. The innovative radio show (1020 and Noods) and event series that looks to alter the shape of dance music in the fertile Bristol music scene.

The Bside of... InFiné

We’re straight back in with another instalment of our record label showcase, this time we take a guided tour through “The Bside of… InFiné”

Since 2006, the Paris/Berlin based label has released music from an eclectic mixture of international artists: contemporary classic to rock, minimalist pop to techno, via electronica, RnB and more traditional music. Beyond the discovery and promotion of incredible artists, they’re committed to the protection of publishing rights and stimulation of the community’s growth with InFiné Editions. Their representation of Bedroom Community, Innervisions, No Format, Pain Surprises, and Kwaidan makes them an invaluable asset to the music and artists we love.

The Bside of... Lumberjacks In Hell

6 shows in and already our label focused series has been quite the venture. Starting in London, Rhythm Section were the first to select a member of their team to represent the label and talk us through some of their releases on the B-side, showcasing their deeper and jazzy sound. Following, we welcomed the moody house label Beats Of No Nation (Australia). Our three most recent shows saw Toy Tonics (Berlin) playing some joyful house, Haŵs (Cardiff), with their deep spacey vibe, and Pluie/Noir (Berlin), with some minimal and experimental electronica.

For ep. 6 we are blessed to have Marcel Vogel take us on a guided tour of his Label - Lumberjacks in Hell. Running 11 years strong, with over 40 proud vinyl releases by the likes of Rahaan, Jamie 3:26 & Cratebug, Philou Louzolo, Giovanni Damico, Mr Mendel, Hugo H., Rayko, Boogie Nite, Eddie C, Al Kent, Inkswell, Mannmademusic, it is fair to say that Lumberjacks in Hell have cemented themselves as one of Amsterdam’s finest house labels.

Bside Incoming: Elado

We welcome to the Bside decks another awesome artist, this time a global selector from Tel Aviv: Elado

A lifelong love for music was kickstarted by a by a mixtape given to him by his father, the mixtape was quickly worn out while his passion for music and later mixing never faded. Elado has now cemented himself as a top class turntablist with an incredible vinyl collection, a craft that has been honed in his home town’s vibrant nightlife. He’s forever digging for new sounds to drop on the dance floor with his quest taking him across Europe and South America. And, more recently being able to release some very tasty edits of his discoveries on some great labels, including Razor-N-Tape owned by one of our favourite past guests JKriv.

He has since transported his good vibes to some wonderful spots across Europe; Berlin, Croatia, and Switzerland being blessed with the chance to hear Elado’s ever impressive selections.

Now, we’re the lucky ones...

Expect funky disco jams and irresistible house and acid from the world over, exclusively on the Bside of course! This one is sure to put a smile on your face!

Bside Incoming: Earl Jeffers

Next up on the Bside decks, is an incredible DJ/Producer and record collector from Cardiff, whose tunes have grabbed the attention of the very best in the business; Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry, Skream and Mosca: With great pleasure, it’s Earl Jeffers (aka Chesus).

He’s really been making a name for himself in recent years with his productions being released on Gerd’s 4Lux and Addison Groove’s Lost in Translation amongst others. His soul infused style of house is a one way ticket to good times on the dancefloor, as evidenced by this smooth jazzy piano track with Henry Wu:
