BTWN THE LINES with Ogo J.

Trigger Warning - Mentions of sexual assault and rape.

Tensions have been high for the past few months as we continue to rise up against patriarchy, police brutality, systemic racism and more. I wanted to take a step back and remind myself that we are all on the same team here. As I am known for the occasional (or a little more than occasional) instagram story rant about what everyone else is doing wrong, I wanted to call myself out on what I was doing wrong by not allowing for true dialogue between myself, and in this case, black men. On this episode of BTWN THE LINES I chat with a couple of friends about the black male experience, how black men and black woman can better support each other and we go between the lines of Women, Race and Class by Angela Davis to discuss the history of sexual assault and rape that black women experience.
