• About 500 workers in the Bucks County Administration Building joined the picket line on Friday for a one-day strike because their union still does not have a contract after nearly a year of negotiations.
• Police are investigating the shooting death of a 13-year-old girl -- the youngest person to lose their life to gun violence in Philadelphia this year. 
• A jury has found Sesame Place in Langhorne, Bucks County is not liable in a federal discrimination case involving allegations that theme park character performers ignored kids because of the color of their skin.
• Government officials, community leaders and members of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society gathered in Malcolm X Park on Thursday to celebrate a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to support planting more trees in Philadelphia.
