Richard Sylvester is a humanistic psychologist, therapist, lecturer, and long-time speaker on non-duality. In this conversation with Rick Archer, Richard explores the seeing through of separation, the collapse of the sense of self, and why awakening is not something a person achieves. He speaks candidly about the limits of language, the absurdity of trying to make non-duality into a belief system, and the way ordinary life can become astonishing when the sense of being a separate individual is seen through.
Richard also reflects on spiritual practice, the role of stories, the danger of turning non-duality into another ideology, and the freedom of living without the burden of a personal path. Along the way, the conversation touches on simplicity, innocence, childlike immediacy, silent communication, and the idea that this is already the miracle people are searching for.
