Buffy Speak

madeline devillers (@radddeline on instagram) joins us to talk about a TRULY BLEAK episode of buffy. while we try to distract ourselves from the darkness that threatens to encroach at any given moment, we talk about the pros and cons of buffy/spike and.... not much else, honestly.

wow! caroline gives this episode our very first 11/10! and since there's no recording of it there's no way to prove that i'm lying!

In Which They Take The Metaphor A Little Too Far

similar to season 6 itself, this episode of buffy speak gets A LIL DARKER than we intended, but it's okay because... slaps?

SPIKE: hewwo buffy

BUFFY: ...what

SPIKE: i'm in wuv wif you

BUFFY: What Is Going On

whitney and lindsey nelsen (from historical hotties @historicallyhot) join us to GAB about WILLOW'S BAD DECISIONS, STARDEW VALLEY and SPIKE (that last one is mostly on beth's part)

IT'S HERE!!! IT'S REALLY, FINALLY HERE!! if you can stand beth singing every reference to every song, THIS IS THE EPISODE FOR YOU!

there is bookoodles and bookoodles of foreshadowing in this episode that beth did not remember and cannot talk about with caroline, so if you're coming here for that, TOUGH COOKIES.

this show has vampires and demons figuring on a regular basis, but the least realistic part is the part in this episode where every student in a college classroom want to volunteer information when prompted. absolutely untenable.

here we are, armed with an overwrought metaphor for adulthood and an EXCELLENT scene between willow and giles.
