Four don'ts, three A's, and a bunch of controversy. This is Nelly. This is the build your army podcast. In this episode I am discussing episode three of the mini-series of LulaRich, which is the documentary about LuLaRoe.Now, I have to say this episode was a little bit more disappointing than I expected. I thought it was going to be this big bunch of bombshells. They were building up to it, but it was a bit of the same. However, they have this thing called the Four don'ts. Now, I don't know if this was an unwritten rule, it didn't look like a legitimate slide with a LulaRoe logo on it or anything like that. It just looked like a random thing. So it could just be BS, but I'm going to go over them because they're kind of fascinating.Number one, don't talk man to man. And man to man is in quotations. I don't know what that means. So let me back up a bit. The premise of this portion of the episode was that women would be the leaders. So LuLaRoe was empowering women. But when they achieved success, they wanted the women to hand over control to the men. The husbands of the team, the partnership, and they wanted the men to be involved in the business showing the dresses, and the skirts and helping with the social media and all those sorts of things. It's almost like they wanted the men to become the limelight and for the women to take a backseat. And I don't understand why that would be. I don't understand where that came from. But I guess that would be from backdoor meetings or behind closed doors, things like that. Obviously had something to do with the culture.I would imagine these four dont's are for the women.Four dont's for the women.Don't talk "man to man." I don't know how a woman can can talk man to man. I guess, shop talk or talk about sports, maybe. I don't understand how you can do that. Or what the issue would be if a woman did do that. Like what was the problem we're talking about here? So that made me laugh. That got a chuckle out of me.Next don't was, don't "mother" him. And again mother is in quotations. I don't think women or men want to be mothered by their wives anyways. Anyway, I'm confused by that whole thing. The other, the third don't, don't have better ideas.I have to stop laughing, I want to be clear in this messaging. Okay, don't, I can't, I can't take this seriously.Don't have better ideas. And better ideas is in quotations as well. How do you how do you do that? How do you control your thoughts? How do you stop yourself from having ideas? Let alone better ideas? How do you know they're better ideas? Maybe they're worse ideas? Maybe the man has stupid ideas. Can you even implement that. Don't have better ideas. That was a good one.And the other one is, don't admire others men's qualities. And admire other men's qualities was also in quotation. So I don't understand what that fascination of the slide was with quotations. The quotations didn't seem to make sense on the slide, but if you admire that quality in your man, why not admire that quality and other men? This whole thing seemed to be insecure men wrote this, worried about their wives. Admiring a quality and another man doesn't mean they're going to run off and sleep with them. Is the man okay to go off and do whatever he wants?Okay, so we're gonna move on to the three A's.Sorry, this whole part of this episode did have me cracking up.The three A's - appreciate accept and admire.Nothing wrong with that. I don't know why that was controversial. In the episode they mentioned the three A's and they said appreciate accept and admire and I thought okay, what's what's so bad about that? If my wife appreciates, accepts, and admires me. The the goal is of course for you to appreciate, accept and admire your spouse and for them to do the same, to reciprocate those genuine feelings. So it's not just one sided. And I don't understand why that's controversial. But anyway,

Four don'ts, three A's, and a bunch of controversy. This is Nelly. This is the build your army podcast. In this episode I am discussing episode three of the mini-series of LulaRich, which is the documentary about LuLaRoe.

Now, I have to say this episode was a little bit more disappointing than I expected. So it could just be BS, but I'm going to go over them because they're kind of fascinating.

Number one, don't talk man to man.

Obviously had something to do with the culture.

I would imagine these four dont's are for the women.

    Four dont's for the women.

    * Don't talk "man to man." I don't know how a woman can can talk man to man. I guess, shop talk or talk about sports, maybe. I don't understand how you can do that. Or what the issue would be if a woman did do that. Like what was the problem we're talking about here? So that made me laugh. That got a chuckle out of me.* Next don't was, don't "mother" him. And again mother is in quotations. I don't think women or men want to be mothered by their wives anyways. Anyway, I'm confused by that whole thing.* The other, the third don't, don't have better ideas.

I have to stop laughing, I want to be clear in this messaging. Okay, don't, I can't, I can't take this seriously.

Don't have better ideas. That was a good one.

Sorry, this whole part of this episode did have me cracking up.

The three A's - appreciate accept and admire.

Nothing wrong with that. I don't know why that was controversial. In the episode they mentioned the three A's and they said appreciate accept and admire and I thought okay,

Protip: replace their website with your website, or even better automated sales funnel. How do we do this? Your network marketing company or the one you're about to sign up for, will give you a website that you can set up the domain with your name. And in that website, it has all of the programming and the sales and the shopping cart and everything for you, which is fantastic. The downfall of that site, though, you're not able to customize it at all. You're not really able to apply your own analytics. You can't put a Facebook pixel on that website to track any data to then retarget people for future ads.And you can't capture emails unless that person buys from you. The problem is the chances of somebody landing on your website and you making a sale is next to nothing. You have to capture them, and then drip on them over a period of time to create a sale or through your campaign. But you need their email in order to campaign to them. The other thing is, the chances of someone actually doing a search and finding your site is next to nil because it's the same content across all of the internet. The way Google works is you have to have unique content for it to be searchable and indexed in the search engine. So if you're just feeding off of the website, that the company provides for you, you have to somehow market that website in a different way to attract eyeballs to that website. What I recommend is you would create your own website and you can do that at wordpress.buildyourarmy.com if you're using a WordPress operating site, or buildyourarmy.com for your own funnel, and attach it to the domain. Either way, you can do both. You can have a WordPress site. And in the subdomain you can have the funnel. And you can have links from your WordPress site to your funnel, or just direct people directly to your funnel. The strategy with that is you can then customize it, you can test the data, you can do all sorts of things with updating and testing A/B split tests, to test what works, what doesn't work. You can change it, you can add the Facebook pixel, if you're doing Facebook ads, you can do all sorts of tracking with that website to improve the experience. You can collect emails so that you can forever campaign to these people in the future. And that is the key to differentiating yourself from everyone else in your organization. Why would they go to you instead of the other person, if everybody has the same website, everybody says the same thing. If everybody does the same thing. But with your own unique website that you can customize, you can then attract people to your website first. Rather than the E-commerce site they created for you. Collect their email.Through your email marketing, you can redirect them to that site. Because you have them in your email list anyways. And at that point, you can make the sale or not make the sale and eventually they will buy or unsubscribe. But if you're just sending people to the duplicated site that they give you, there is no way for you to capture that customer. So because it is a big effort to attract buyers and eyeballs you're better off attracting them to your own website first, capture them, sell to them after the fact. And only then you can redirect to the other website for the checkout.Plus, if you have a special promotion, for example, you can, from your website, through a link direct your potential customer to a specific page on the other ecommerce site for a specific product that you're promoting. Or you can go right to the checkout. You can do all sorts of things that you can test and try to generate more sales to increase your conversion rate of buyers when you are in control of the flow of the experience. And the only way to gain control of that flow of your customer's experience is by sending them to your website first.Capture them. Then and only then redirect them to their site. Start with your site, bypass their site.

  • 25. 3 Things I Hate About Home Prospecting Parties
Three things I hate about home prospecting parties.Number one, if you have a full time job, you're tired from a full day's work, and you come home in an evening, and you have to host a group of people. You have to have high energy. And you have to sell and pitch these people on this wonderful opportunity. And if your energy is low, the messaging is not going to come through. Or if you're an introvert, you absolutely hate this avenue for growing a business, you would rather be sitting behind a computer, blogging, just like me, I am talking, but I am by myself. Speaking into the ether, alone with my thoughts and my computer, it's a wonderful thing. This also leads me to, you lose control in your own home, if you are new to the business, and your upline is doing the presentation, they control the pace and how long it takes. So let's say you're tired, and you want the party to be over after like 45 minutes and the upline is going on forever talking and talking and talking. You cannot control when this event happens in your own home in those instances. And that is really an icky feeling for me, and probably for you. Probably why you started to stop doing home parties.2. Reason number two, which is similar to number one, when you don't have control. You also don't have control when your guests leave. Or if they arrive late. You're stuck with these people much longer time than you would hope. And you know, it might be nine o'clock at night now. And you're like, Okay, time to go guys, and they're still hanging around. But nobody's buying anything and nobody's signing up. On the flipside, if people are buying and signing up, then the energy is high, and everyone's feeding off of each other. And people are signing up. Well, maybe I'll try that. Yeah, let's do this together. This is great. Oh, I love this dress. Let me buy that. And then people build off of each other. And next thing you know, it's a feeding frenzy. The amount of times that happens is very rare, however. So you can't expect that to happen with every party. Your upline will tell you that happens at every party. But that is a perfect world, in network marketing. And we all know, we do not live in a perfect world in network marketing.3. Reason number three, people will start avoiding you, when you invite them to your house. They will start to associate you with network marketing and home invitations. It got to a point where I'd be inviting people to my house and they would be like, is that an event? Or are we just like hanging out? Are you going to talk to me about the business or are we just hanging out? It's really uncomfortable to mix that with your friends and family to the point where they fear hanging out with you. Because they believe that the only reason you're inviting them to their house is for you to pitch them. So if you've experience that, it's not cool. I got to the point where I was saying to friends, listen, I'm not gonna ask you about joining this company. So don't fear that. Don't worry about that. I don't want this to affect your friendship. You say no, I don't want it to affect our friendship. You say yes. I don't want it to affect our friendship. We're friends first business partners second. Or friends first and friends second. If they say no. So if you start to think shit, man, this business is making people not even want to hang out to watch a movie on the weekend at my place or play cards or come over for beers or whatever the case. So that was my number three, but it's my number one that I detest the most about home parties. People, your friends, start to think that the only reason you're inviting them is to come over for a presentation and then they start avoiding you and not wanting to come over just to hang out. Not how I want to grow a business. So enough about the complaining, what are the positives, what can we do to grow this business? Because the network marketing industry is amazing, right? What can we do to grow it?

If your downline is dropping like flies, and I mean, they're leaving the company, they're leaving your team faster than you can recruit others. It's because you actually do not have a duplicatable system. It's because the way you've been trained to grow your downline, actually is not effective or efficient. And because your downline is not willing to do that activity that your upline tells you to do.It's one thing to bring people in. But if they don't duplicate and they don't recruit others, because they will mimic the way you do it. If they don't enjoy that activity, they're not going to stick around. Especially if they don't see action right away. If you recruit your downline member, and they don't see results, they will get discouraged. If they recruit others and they're not actually duplicating, they will get discouraged, then your downline just falls apart. The best, way to keep your downline engaged, is to actually build it in a way that is enjoyable for everyone. Look at yourself with your own activity. Do you even enjoy the way you've grown the size of your team? Do you enjoy the activity it took to get you to where you are? If the answer is no.If you find yourself very tired, then chances are your downline is going to be less likely to do that activity. First of all, you have to be willing to do the activity that you want, or you expect your downline to do. But you have to enjoy it as well. If you don't enjoy your own activity, your downline is going to leave because they're not as dedicated to your team as you. You might stick around and see that you recruited six, but five dropped off in one week. Or it took you a month to get six members. And then in a week all 5 dropped off. That happened to me.I was recruiting, I had six on the team and I'm thinking this is rockin. This is going well. And sure enough, in about a week and a half, I was down to me and another person. And the other person was my wife. Everyone else dropped like flies. It's almost like they they see it happening. They didn't even know each other. It wasn't like I was telling my teammates oh, by the way, I'm down to five now, I'm down to 4. They didn't even know it was happening. But it all seemed to happen at the same time. In another network marketing company, I've been up to 16 members. But I was the only one recruiting, nobody else recruited. I think one person actually got an extra layer. I think it was just me and 16 people all one level. Maybe one other person had another layer. I never got to a third layer. So no, nobody other than myself was recruiting. I wasn't duplicating. The other members couldn't convince other people to join. That's partly because of the industry stigma, partly because people see it, say you know what, I don't want to do that. That's not for me.The way to keep your downline engaged in the long term, and to duplicate is by growing it in a way that people enjoy. A way that is fun for them. The way I know is through an automated sales funnel. Because you can do your presentation once, set it up, configure it, get through a little bit of the tech stuff, I help you with that. It's not even hard to get through. I'm not an IT person. So if I want to be an entrepreneur, it does not mean that I necessarily want to be in the network marketing business, and build that type of business. So there's a lot going on there.People will reach out and offer, I've got this great business to change my life, you want to hear about it? And then they want you to answer questions, but if you say too much, they won't come? Well, that sort of is a red flag.If your opportunity was amazing on its own, answering all the questions would make people want to come to the presentation. Instead, we expect them to blindly show up out of curiosity, and then miraculously being interested in your opportunity.Just reaching out to strangers and asking them if they want to join the business typically is not a great idea either. It's kind of like a guy who's looking for a date. And let's say he's on Tinder, whatever. He's chatting with this girl and they are about to go on a date. All of a sudden he sends a dick pic. It's a complete turnoff for the woman. Because who the hell wants to see that, buddy, especially before the first date? No, nobody wants to see that.Shoving your MLM opportunity in someone's face, it's basically the same thing.Nobody wants wants to join an opportunity for the sake of the opportunity. They want to work with somebody they know, like, trust and love. I mean, if you're going to be in business, you have to like that person, even deeper, more intimately. All this to say that the network marketing opportunity is not sufficient or strong enough of an offer on its own. People want to be excited to work with you, and you first. And that's what you have to do. You have to attract them to you through your messaging.Introduce the opportunity, only once they are a fan of yours, and they want to work with you. Only then do you say, this is an opportunity to work with me or not, this is an opportunity to join this company, or to change your life and be free and all this mumbo jumbo. This is an opportunity to work with me. You would tell that prospect, this is an opportunity for you to work with me or for us to work together. At that point, then you can talk about the opportunity, then they're not joining the opportunity. They're joining you. They're joining the ability to work closely with you and have more of you in their life. That's really the missing piece. The myth about the industry is that the opportunity on its own is sufficient to attract people to the business. It's not, they have to be attracted to you first, and only then will they be open to hearing your message about the opportunity. My favorite way to do this is through an automated network marketing sales funnel. That is why I created the software. That is why I want to show it to the world. You can just test it if you head over to buildyourarmy.com. You can test it out for free, don't need a credit card. • 23. Are You Treating Your MLM Opportunity Like A Dick Pic

MLM opportunities are like dick pics. You expose them too early, and nobody wants to see it or hear about it.

We dissect the MLM industry and show you the better way to build your mlm business. Why are MLM opportunities like dick pics?

Well, as mentioned, if you expose them too early, what happens is people don't care because you foolishly think that an MLM opportunity is a gift.

That's what your upline tells you. But do you think people care? Because you've discovered this wonderful thing that has changed your life, it doesn't mean everybody is ready to accept the message.

Not everybody wants to be an entrepreneur. Not everybody wants to be an entrepreneur with you. Not everybody wants to be in your type of business. So if I want to be an entrepreneur, it does not mean that I necessarily want to be in the network marketing business, and build that type of business.

So there's a lot going on there.

People will reach out and offer, I've got this great business to change my life, you want to hear about it? And then they want you to answer questions, but if you say too much, they won't come? Well, that sort of is a red flag.
