Amanda speaks to Lesia Cartelli, speaker, author, and CEO & Founder of Angel Faces, a nonprofit providing retreats and ongoing support to girls and women with severe burn and trauma injuries. Lesia talks about her own traumatic experience as a child, and how it led her to start her organization, helping people across the country. And, if that's not amazing enough, she also married a firefighter.

Lesia was selected as “Hero of the Week” by People Magazine and has been featured on national media numerous times. She has received many prestigious awards for her leadership and inspiration including the “Heart of a Woman” Award on the Dr. Phil Show and an EMMY for Angels Faces mini-documentary.

Amanda kicks off the episode by asking Lei how someone who's climbed the seven summits, and reached the North and South Poles thinks about confidence. What is it, and what is it not? Later, Lei discusses not being athletic as a kid (so, don't worry if you haven't hit the gym in a while - you could still climb mountains someday!), and how falling ill on the way up a mountain impacted her climb - for worse and for better. We learn what it means to write a book when just the thought of it seems more daunting than climbing Everest! And Lei shares how she traded corporate garb for clothing more true to herself when she takes the stage.
