The world around us can erupt at any moment. Whether it be mother nature or mans doing, things for all of us can quickly go bad. Today Pastor Ed tells us that as Christians none of this needs to concern us. Instead of wasting time with fear, we are to shine as lights to the gospel of God. Our life journey's will take us through times of luxury and poverty, happiness and sadness. We may get cheated from things we deserve or given things we don't deserve, but ultimately we are to live not for this life, but for God.

Sometimes we may come to a place where we feel pointless. We may be doing things that we felt God placed on our heart, yet we're not seeing any results or recognition. Pastor Ed tells us today, that we need to see the world from God's perspective and not the worlds perspective. This applies to every aspect of our daily lives. Mans definition of value, functions differently than Gods. Once you fully realize that this life is but a small blip, preparing you for your eternity with God. Everything will change.

As Christians we need to make it a point, to enjoy life. In Ecclesiastes, Solomon tells us to take part in the pleasures of this life which God made for us. We should be enjoying our friends, families, work, and hobbies. Making it a point, to experience this planet which God created. Exploring all the different seasons, lands, and foods. Solomon warns us to not be overwhelmed by the unfairness, and sadnesses of the world, but instead enjoy the good. Enjoy your life, and do it for God's Glory.

The fact is, we are all going to die. It's something that we tend to overlook or not think about, but all of our lives are limited. Today, Pastor Ed, shares with us Solomon's concern that we may miss the meaning of our lives. He tells us we must live with the ending in mind, and warns us not to waste the opportunities of life. With our limited time we have the chance to accept eternity and help others find it. Understand what God has gifted you with, and use if for His Kingdom. Do this and you will have truly lived.

THERER are some things we cannot explain.. you will see inequitites...things that are just not right

in heaven and in hell things are looked at very differently and we have to realize that God is the ultimate judge

those who fear and honor God your times are gonna be filled with good and difficult days but enjoy the life God gives you and recognize that he is the judge of all the earth and there will be a final judgement... you'll never make sense of what god is doing here on this earth...search as hard as you like you'll never make sense of it

If you look through history you will find that a lot of wise people said things that turned out to be wrong. This is because at the end of the day, no matter how smart a person is, they can never really know enough. Pastor Ed tells us that because of this, those who seek out wisdom must embrace humility. Humility is the teacher of wisdom. Through the willingness to be wrong, or the ability to know you can learn from another, humility becomes key. Be humble to God and He will bless you with knowledge.

God has planned out all our days. That includes both our good days, and our bad days. Looking at Solomon's examination of life, Pastor Ed helps us understand why bad things happen to good people. He points out that lives without trials, tend to create people who do not believe they need help. It can also create people who can't empathize with those who are struggling. Most importantly, troubles in life create a dependency on God. Knowing you need God is the greatest gift.

There are things that will happen that we can never understand. Things like young Christians dying, or children being terminally ill. We want to think that these are things that God would not allow. Yet, he sometimes does. Pastor Ed tells us that Solomon pondered these things too, and that ultimately he decided that there are some things we simply cannot understand. Perhaps these things happen because of the flawed nature of mankind, or perhaps it is something greater and more relevant to God's plan.

Today, Pastor Ed tells us that Solomon found wisdom to be greater than money. Solomon had both, vast amounts of money and great wisdom. He found that of the two though, only wisdom could help him come closer to God, and stand with God faithfully in personal times of sorrow. In fact Solomon, for a time, left God and it was because of his wisdom that he recognized the pointlessness of all things without God. Strive to gain wisdom in God and you will find everything else starts to make sense.

God's plan for us and our world is so far beyond our grasp, that there's no point in trying to understand it. Today, Pastor Ed teaches, that this is the same conclusion Solomon came to in his search of understanding life. The fact is, things that we consider difficult or bad, sometimes are things that God is using to help us. Whether it's to prepare us for something to come, or simply to protect us now, it's God working for us. This being the case it's important that we simply trust God and embrace the ride.
