Each and every one of us develops certain fears or anxieties throughout the course of our lives. Whether it's the fear of the unknown, the dangers of a risky job, or the fear of evil itself, we all experience this emotion at times. So where do we find comfort in these times of fear or worry in our lives? In today's message, Pastor Ed reminds us of the caring nature of God. Like King David, indulging in sin often leads us into further sin. We need to ask God for a steadfast spirit, one where we withstand temptation and cling to the Word of God. Pastor Ed suggests having passages of scripture to help anchor your soul for when the storms of temptation come to throw you off course.

Today, Pastor Ed warns us that if you're faced with temptation where you can't imagine the ending, then you shouldn't consummate the beginning. In the case of King David, he let his lust get in the way of wise discernment and led him into a string of sinful acts. After David's adultery, he went on to deceive, cheat, and murder. We need to heed the warning to think before we act. And we need to bind ourselves to God and draw strength from His Word for those times when we're faced with temptation.
