Kalen has always been an avid skier but, once he started ski racing he quickly got fed up with the coffee jitters and was disappointed with the alternatives on the market. It was long before he sought out to find the answer to his conundrum thus giving birth to Voke Tab. Voke Tab is a healthy chewable energy tab designed to give you focus when you need it most and are on the go. Voke achieves this by strictly using natural ingredients and avoids over-caffeination, sugar rush/crash, artificial ingredients. In this episode we explore how Kalen developed Voke as a business, product, and where it’s headed into the future.

Josh sits down with Gnarbox co-founder Will Africano. Gnarbox is a portable backup and editing system that is meant to be the outdoor photographer/videographers best friend. After Will Africano moved to LA he soon befriended Gnarbox co-founder Tim Feess and soon bonded over their love for skiing and photography. During their trips to the mountain they would list off their grievances with roadblocks that came with the delay between shoots and edit sessions which would eventually give birth to the idea of Gnarbox. Fast forward two years and they have launched on the most successful Kickstarters we’ve seen and are offering an incredibly unique product that will change how adventure photographers edit.

Josh sits down with 4FRNT founder Matt Sterbenz. 4FRNT skis is a brand that has become iconic within the skiing industry, helping pave the way for freestyle skiing. Having been involved in skiing since high school, Matt Sterbenz has become a prominent figure in helping that transition from the traditional Euro ski racing identity of skiing to a looser ‘freer’ assemblance of skiing where style is valued over speed. Josh sits down with Huppy Bar founder Lyndsay Hupp. Huppy Bar is a snack bar made to inspire adventure while delivering a nutrition packed slice of deliciousness to any would be traveller, doer, mover, or shaker. Lyndsay caught the spark of this idea when out boating and finding that her trailmix had all melted together into delicious clumps. It wasn’t long after that she started to adjust what went into the mix to make herself the perfect snack when on the go. It wasn’t long until, friends, family, and clients caught on, even dubbing her bars ‘Huppy Bars’ which really turned up the flame of entrepreneurship in Lyndsay.
