We are sorry to bring you the sad news of the death of a hero.Itamar Alus, has died from a short illness aged just 41. He leaves behind his wife, 4 children and the dozens of people whose lives he saved on October 7 in Ofakim, Israel. Itamar, a border police officer, was off-duty when he heard gunfire in his home town on the morning of October 7.Sixteen terrorists came to the city that day, planning to murder and take hostages. Thanks to his heroism, and that of his neighbors, all 16 of the terrorists were killed and no hostages were taken. He saved the life of a Rabbi and an IDF soldier by shielding them from gunfire, he saved the life of the Biliya family, who were hiding under the solar panels of a neighbor’s roof. He was brave and he was selfless. We met Itamar when we went to Israel to interview the survivors of that horrible day. That is why we are honored to tell his story in the OCTOBER 7 play. The world needs more Itamars. Itamar’s story is the backbone of the play and we hope that you can come to the Kennedy Center on January 28th to see his heroism on stage. Please go to the link below to get your tickets. And we need your support more than ever. The mainstream media is trying to bully us. CNN and The Washington Post have written, asking if we are cancelling because Trump has declared artistic freedom at the Kennedy Center and lots of other cowards have cancelled.Their threat is clear - cancel the Kennedy Center performance of OCTOBER 7 or we will come after you and your cast and crew. We told them what they could do with their threats! We will be proudly bringing the OCTOBER 7 play to the Kennedy Center. We are bringing true art to spaces where the truth is needed. And Washington really needs the truth right now. You can read our statement here. And Hollywood’s committing suicide but no one seemed to notice.
