The Transformers movie franchise has had a rough time despite its success monetarily as a series. Bumblebee seeks to redeem the series and it succeeds all the way by going back to basics. Director Travis Knight and writer Christina Hodson craft a story that makes you care about the human characters while also making you care about the Autobot/Decepticon conflict thats spliced in as well.
