Bumming with Bobcat

Malt Liquor May is upon us! I have spent weeks searching liquor stores high and low trying to find as much unique malt liquor and high gravity beverages that I possibly could to stock up and prepare for this month, and now it's finally here.

Just take a look at what we have on tap. All the big name classics are present and accounted for this extravaganza. Mickeys, Colt 45, King Cobra, St. Ides, Steel Reserve, Earthquake, Natty Daddy, and Olde English 800 are just a few of the fine beverages we will be featuring at bumwinebob.com this month. If you think the WWE went all out for and their Greatest Royal Rumble event, they have nothing on BWB Malt Liquor Mayhem!

Don't forget to check out the Bumming with Bobcat Merch Store on TeePublic for some great deals on classic bWb t-shirts along with other great designs from the TeePublic community!

It's official. Malt Beverage Mania is now in the books after the induction of the Steel Reserve Spiked Blue Razz as the latest bWb malt beverage of the week. We covered a variety of different colors and flavors over the last few months, but as of this moment we hit the end of the road on the malt beverage highway, so I know a lot of people will be happy to hear that.

What has caused the influx of new malt beverages over the past few years and why have our favorite bum wines been discontinued? We already knew that the Night Train Express and Thunderbird have ceased production from Gallo Wines, but now I have gotten word that Cisco is the next on the list to go extinct. When will the madness stop? Get out there and support your favorite bum wines before it's too late!

With spring weather officially here, we are getting ready to celebrate Malt Liquor May at bumwinebob.com next month! Some classic malt liquors will be on tap during the month of May, so crack open a can of your favorite and join the party!

The colors, Duke, the colors! The 2018 BWB Battle Of The Tournament is now in the books and MD 20/20 Blue Raspberry has been declared champion!  We have the tournament recap on tap with all the latest news as we look forward to next year!

To keep the party going this week, we wrapped up the unofficial Malt Beverage March with the new Four Loko Red as the bumwinebob.com malt beverage of the week! As a special treat I am cracking open a can and giving it a try for the first time on this weeks podcast.

The finals are now set in the 2018 BWB Battle Of The Booze Tournament between Mickeys Fine Malt Liquor and MD 20/20 Blue Raspberry. It has been an intense tournament since the first round, but in the end there can only be one winner!

MD 20/20 Blue Raspberry had the easiest road to the finals being the #1 seed in the bum wine conference. After taking down a pair of Cisco's against the Orange Pineapple and Strawberry, the "bling bling" made easy work of two other bum wine classics defeating both Wild Irish Rose Red and the Night Train Express. Four Loko Gold was no match for MD 20/20 Blue Raspberry and fell victim to an easy defeat in the semifinals.

While Mickeys was a #4 seed to start the tournament, it was still surprising to see Mickeys make it all the way to the finals. After defeating classic malt liquors in Magnum, Olde English 800, Colt 45, and King Cobra, Mickeys made easy work out of PBR in the semifinals. I believe that the return to glass 40's played a big part in Mickeys run in this years tournament. Could a Mickeys victory mean that we see changes coming from MillerCoors to eliminate the remaining plastic 40's and return the rest of the classics malt liquors to glass?

Natty Rush Hurricane Punch is the bumwinebob.com malt beverage of the week and this years battle of the booze champion will be featured at bumwinebob.com after the polls close.

Polls will be open at botb.bumwinebob.com from 9pm ET Wednesday to 9pm ET Friday, so make sure to get your votes in and tell your friends! Cheers!
