Revelation 18 describes the final destruction of Babylon and the corrupt economic system of the world of the Antichrist. But there is sufficient Biblical prophetic evidence to conclude that this chapter is also referring to the destruction of the literal city of Babylon, which will be at the center of the one-world government and economy in the Tribulation. But at the midway point, he will abolish and destroy all forms of religion other than the worship of himself, which is actually the worship of Satan, and which is really at the heart of all false religion, even today.

All throughout history, God's people have faced challenges, trials and persecution. From man's perspective, each of these situations was hopeless, except for two little words- BUT GOD. When we trust in God's strength and wisdom, even the most daunting of situations becomes an opportunity for victory.

The 144,000 witnesses will be protected by God during the Great Tribulation as they testify of the coming Messiah and the salvation that is offered in HIs name. But even though they are protected by God, theis time will be a test of their endurance and faith.
