The Free Agency Frenzy will soon begin! But before it does the league gave everyone a rather pleasant surprise when it announced that the salary cap will be going up by $30M+ next season. And with that news Andrew Berry and the front office in Berea were among the happiest in the country as they only had to restructure a single contract to make it out of the red and put them in prime position to make some big moves when the legal tampering period begins. Especially when you consider the fact that several other restructures, extensions, and cuts are sure to come that will free up more cap space.

So what are the areas of need for the Browns? Who are some FAs that may make sense for them? Who are the guys that are on the top of our wish lists but have a slim chance of being brought to The Land? Which other Browns players will see their contracts restructured? And we still wait to see if they will indeed cut Nick Chubb?

Alright everyone... we're not going to lie. It's the very start of the offseason and not much has actually happened. And so, we are left to discuss the obvious.

First, we kick off a 3 part series of episodes where we will discuss the off-season transformation that the roster will go through. We will follow that up in the coming weeks with discussions on draft prospects and who fits with the Browns and Free Agency Prospects and who the Browns may be targeting on that front. All of that will be intertwined with the various scenarios that need to play out with the salary cap, cuts, restructures, trades, etc. in order for this transformation to take place.

It's official. Football season is over.

In this final week of the season, to close the year out with a bang, the Browns swept all the categories they were nominated for at the NFL Honors, they announced the probable extension of two key staff members, the Haslams have entered into an agreement to purchase some land in Brook Park, and rumors continue to swirl regarding cutting the most beloved player on the roster!

Plus the Super Bowl happened and it did not disappoint! We were treated to only the second overtime game in Super Bowl history and the first one where a whole team didn't know the overtime rules. It was a battle right down to the final score but in the end the most recent dynasty just could not be denied. Are Bill Belichick and Tom Brady already witnessing their time as the best coach/QB duo of all time come to an end? Only time will tell... and maybe the first ever 3-peat puts all the arguments to rest next year... maybe.

We also got the chance to talk with the BB chapter that won the Cleveland Browns Fan Cruise Browns Backers competition: the Browns Backers of Pinellas!

And then just like that we enter the other season of the year: "Waiting for Football Season". It's Conference Championship Weekend and instead of being in the game, the Cleveland Browns, like so most other teams, are sitting at home watching from their couches. This is not where we wanted to be but that doesn't mean that the quest to improve stops. Well... we made the playoffs... The Cleveland Browns went into the Super Wild Card Weekend matchup with the Houston Texans with some hope and expectations behind them for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, it became apparent pretty quickly that the magic had run out and this was as far as our Brownies were going to go.

The number one ranked defense came out and looked completely overwhelmed by the rookie HC and rookie QB tandem for Houston. Jim Schwartz and the Browns star studded defense had zero answers for what looked like a high octane offense all game long. Adding insult to injury The Legend of Cleveland Browns Quarterback Joe Flacco finally came to an end as old Joey came out after halftime pressing and desperate to get the Browns back into the game only to throw back to back pick 6s. It was an extremely difficult end to an incredibly exciting and improbable season.

It's time! Time for playoff football for our Cleveland Browns! They finished the season this past week with a scrimmage against a division rival that had already been eliminated from the playoffs making for maybe the most meaningless game in the Battle of Ohio's history. The Bengals took that one as the back up starters who were giving the starting backups a rest ran out of magic and used this game more for the reps than paying attention to what the scoreboard said.

Next up they have a rematch with the Houston Texans, once again in NRG Stadium. This time the Texans have their rookie phenom Quarterback and Defensive Ends back in CJ Stroud and Will Anderson, respectively. Will those two make a difference or will it be a repeat of the first beating the Browns gave them back on Christmas Eve? Will The Legend of Cleveland Browns Quarterback Joe Flacco continue to grow? Will Myles Garrett finally have a monster game that we know he is due for? Will Amari Cooper hang another 265 yards on the Texans in his return from injury? Will MJ Emerson and Denzel Ward show why they are ranked 1 and 2 for CBs this year?
