Today in the hot seat we have Diana Hickey. She is an engineer, patent attorney, and tech entrepreneur. Diana is the founder and CEO of Cuebey, LLC, a tech platform where content creators of all types can turn their content into commerce by selling their most valuable digital content. After becoming a mom, Diana, like so many women before her, decided to bet on herself to set an example for her children. She took her knowledge and skills as an engineer and an IP attorney and created a tech company, Cuebey. Over the years, as social media has taken off, Diana witnessed women giving away valuable, marketable intellectual property for free without regard for its worth. She founded Cuebey to provide a platform where women creators could harness the value of their knowledge and skills for themselves.

Today in the hot seat we have Brittney Ogike. She is the Founder and CEO of BEAUTYBEEZ, the premier beauty retailer for women of color championing inclusive beauty by building a community that celebrates the vastness of multicultural beauty. For decades, the beauty supply store was traditionally commandeered by those outside of the Black community and was oftentimes accused of being discriminatory; however, it was the only space Black women could shop for their unique beauty needs. Deemed as a modern space where women of color can shop, explore and play in a world full of beauty, BEAUTYBEEZ revolutionized the beauty retailer space with their 2019 launch.

Today in the hot seats we have Rea Ann Silva and her daughter Erica Dickerson. Rea Ann spoke very candidly about her journey from makeup artistry to the CEO. She created BeautyBlender on set to enhance the makeup application process with HD. Beautyblender quickly became the secret on set that had every pro talking. Today, the category-creator holds countless beauty awards and is beloved by both makeup enthusiasts and newbies as the go-to tool for achieving a perfectly blended complexion.
Erica’s history with Beautyblender began at conception…literally. As the daughter of Founder and CEO Rea Ann Silva, Erica was the brand’s “first-ever product assembler” back when Beautyblender began out of her mother’s garage in Los Angeles. Little did she know that her mom’s side project would turn into the most popular makeup tool in the world. Before becoming Beautyblender’s Global Beauty Director, Erica pursued acting where she landed a handful of national commercials and major roles on shows like “Bones” on Fox and“Insecure” on HBO.
