Peter and the interviewer discussed the meaning of a business mindset to Peter. He believes that being positive and learning from mistakes is key to success. He also discussed his upbringing, having gone to Cooper's for senior school and the Bell School for junior school.
The interviewer then asked Peter to tell them one thing about his upbringing that reflects on who he is today, to which he replied that, like the interviewer, he is from a similar background. He asked the interviewer what school they went to, to which the interviewer replied that they went to Monteagle. The conversation tells the story of a man's experience of going professional in rugby while in school. The man talks about how he was five years ahead of his friend in terms of going professional, and how he would come back to the school to talk to aspiring rugby players. He reflects on the importance of giving back, and how teachers are often underrated and underpaid. He also mentions that he had a 10 month trading assistant job at Merrill Lynch during his university degree, which was a great opportunity and taught him a lot. He also says that his parents were very supportive throughout his journey, and that it's important to have supportive teachers and parents to help kids reach their potential.
The speaker was talking about his experience of taking a gap year between high school and university. He spent six months in the city working in a finance office and six months at Cooper's with Nick and Eddie Veen, teaching economics and helping out in the sports department. He then went on to become a professional rugby player at Wasps. On his first day, he was one of three out of the whole squad who were from comprehensive schools. He describes the team as great and mentions many of the players on it. He looks back on his placement year as a steep learning curve in both the city and school.

Henry Lopez and Mark discuss the importance of having a business mindset. Henry explains that a business mindset is about putting together a venture or opportunity that makes a profit. Henry and Mark then talk about the Podcast Introduction Group, a business they set up to help people join podcast to help build their personal and professional brands. Finally, they discuss Henry's YouTube channel 'Absolute Business Mindset' and how it is a great platform for entrepreneurs to educate and inspire with stories of their journey and to explore their 'why'. They also discuss Henry's podcast which focuses on small businesses. The speaker and the interviewer discussed the difference between being an entrepreneur and a business owner.
The speaker defined an entrepreneur as someone who is not involved in the day-to-day operations of their business until after its launch, and who has a portfolio of businesses generating income. A business owner, on the other hand, is someone who is more involved in the day-to-day operations. The speaker then shared that they aspire to be an entrepreneur, but are likely a business owner. They also shared some books that have been impactful on their entrepreneurial journey, such as Rich Dad Poor Dad and The EMyth. The speaker is discussing his upbringing and how it has influenced his business success. He is the son of Cuban immigrants and his family had to be resourceful and entrepreneurial to make it in the new world. He mentions three books that were influential to him: Rich Dad, Poor Dad, The EMyth, and Purple Cow.
Additionally, he recommends Seth Godin’s book, Traction and Gino Wickman’s Entrepreneurial Leap. Lastly, he talks about his family and how his grandfather had to leave Cuba during the Batista government, and how his uncle was bought into the revolutionary movement and stayed in Cuba. His upbringing has instilled in him an entrepreneurial spirit which has been reflected in his business success. The conversation is between two people discussing the immigrant experience in America. The speaker shares a story about the experience of their Cuban grandparents, who were immigrants to the USA. They left behind a son, but still had a great deal of joy and pride in being able to provide for their family in America. The other person then compares the experiences of immigrants in America to those in the UK, noting that while Asian immigrants value education, others from Eastern Europe tend to be more entrepreneurial. Both speakers agree that immigrants come to America with the dream of a better life and are often able to achieve it, which is a fascinating story.

Rob Greenlee is the co-founder and partner of Podcast Ez and a podcast host himself. The host introduces Rob Greenlee a podcast guru and amazing guest, who will be talking on the podcast about his entrepreneurial journey and why. The conversation between Mark and the guest is about what a business mindset means to them. The guest has a degree in business and has worked in business for many years, so they have a good understanding of what it entails. They believe that a business mindset is really about working with people, building relationships and trust, and creating value exchanges. They also discussed how technology has changed the way they approach marketing and how they started using content as a way to reach people directly. By creating a radio show and building its distribution, the guest was able to start building trust and relationships with people.
Rob is an only child who was involved in athletics but wasn't particularly expressive as a young person. He has had a variety of roles in his career, from sales rep to restaurant owner to working for the Florida Citrus Commission. He believes that life and business is all about building relationships, and he is passionate about talking about marketing and developing relationships. His upbringing has led him to be more self-focused but with his own children he has gotten to experience sibling dynamics. He believes that this has helped him become more communicative and able to be on a microphone now. Rob was very physical during his younger years and he developed a speech impediment which made him lose his confidence in talking.
He was a successful basketball player, but decided to focus on academics during his last two years of college. He had coaches that helped him build his confidence, discipline, and skills which had an impact on his career. Rob also learned that when someone criticizes him, it is because they care and they want to be successful. Rob has become less competitive and focuses on creating win-win situations.

Rocco Carriero, CEO, private wealth advisor, and author, joins Mark in a podcast interview to discuss the importance of legacy planning. Mark is 42 and while he isn't looking to retire anytime soon, he is interested in planning for his legacy. Rocco explains that most people think of retirement planning first, but parents usually think of legacy planning. He brings up the three cords approach which is a way to plan for one's legacy. The three cords are financial, spiritual, and relational. Financial planning is about making sure one's wealth will last for generations. Spiritual planning is about establishing a sense of family values and a shared vision. Relational planning is about connecting with other family members and creating an emotional bond.
Legacy planning is about setting up a sustainable foundation for the future generations. The conversation focuses on business mindset and goal planning. The guest explains that a business mindset is about clarity, confidence and direction. He believes that goal planning is important, his whole family including his two young children have goals and written activities to achieve them.
The guest also reveals that his parents immigrated from Italy to the United States in 1962, and he believes this reflects on who he is today. The speaker was raised in a traditional Italian American family on Long Island, New York, where he was surrounded by people from Italy, but also integrated with American culture. His parents only had one child, him, and he was lucky to be provided with plenty of food, love, and togetherness. In his 20s, he realized he wanted more financial resources, so he studied recipes of success and created his own financial independence. He was able to integrate his Italian American family with American culture and create his own lifestyle, such as skiing and a big family. Ultimately, he realized that if something he wants isn't given to him, it is his responsibility to create it.

Tony Kitchens, a business strategy consultant, joined the podcast Absolute Business Mindset to discuss the importance of having a business mindset. Tony explained that business is a 24/7 endeavor and that it is not possible to achieve a perfect work-life balance. Tonys' upbringing reflects his current attitude towards business. He remembers his former boss telling him that there is no work-life balance when working in a large corporation, and he believes that his family understands that his dedication to his career is necessary in order to provide them with the lifestyle they want and need. Tony emphasizes that taking time away from Netflix and other activities is worth it in the long run. Tony and the interviewer discussed the importance of humility in being an entrepreneur.
Tony attributes his humility to the values instilled in him by his parents. The interviewer then asked Tony which is more important for an entrepreneur, authority or humility. Tony replied that Humility is 100% more important. He believes that authority should not be wielded like a sword or a gun and that if an entrepreneur wants people to follow them, they must connect with them on an individual basis.
The interviewer then remarked that if an entrepreneur uses authority, they will be left alone and Tony agreed. The conversation is about the importance of employees in businesses. The speaker discussed Gary Vee's evolution from promoting hustle and grind to being kind to his employees and treating them like peers. The host then mentioned Tony's participation in Toastmasters, which is an organization that helps people develop their motivational speaking skills.
The host concluded by reiterating the importance of evolving as an entrepreneur and the magic that comes with it.

Chris Joyce is the founder and CEO of Gasha, a performance-based equity business. During the podcast, Chris discussed what a business mindset means to him. He believes it requires flexibility to listen to the markets while also being rigid with one's purpose and focus. Chris's end goal is to untap as much human potential as possible, which he believes will have a ripple effect on the world. He believes that businesses should always strive to make decisions only once. Chris discussed how Gasha helps to empower people to reach their full potential. Gasha provides resources for individuals to take control of their finances and career, by providing information, resources and tools to help them grow and succeed. By leveraging performance-based equity, Gasha is able to help individuals maximize their potential and achieve their goals. The speaker's attitude towards their career has shifted over time from being primarily focused on themselves to having a more far-reaching ripple effect. They grew up in what they called an Evil Brady Bunch, with a stepfather who was a rigid electrical engineer. This stepfather taught them the value of self-discipline and believing in oneself, which has been incredibly helpful for their success as an entrepreneur. Their stepfather was a colonel in the Air Force and the speaker credits him with instilling the importance of self-discipline and belief in oneself. The conversation is about the importance of developing self-belief and doing the difficult work that other people don't want to do in order to be successful as an entrepreneur. The speaker talks about his father's experience in the Air Force and how it taught him about humanity and that everyone has a little voice inside of them that they should listen to. He explains that people often have doubts and fears as well as negative input from their family and friends, but it is essential to protect and cultivate that inner voice. He cites David Goggins' phrase of do what others won't do or unable to do or don't want to do as a way to be successful, and Gary Vee's advice of not partying but rather focusing on work. He also shares his own experience of working in corporate for 14 years before starting his businesses and how it was not providing the value he was looking for.

The speaker discussed their upbringing in Bruges, Belgium, a UNESCO world heritage historical city. Bruges was once one of the wealthiest cities in Europe, with a vibrant trading marketplace where people from all over Europe would come to sell and trade their goods. This influx of money made Bruges a beautiful historical town and this mercantile history has had a lasting impression on the speaker, who has adopted a business mindset focused on solving problems and providing service.
The speaker was raised in a small town and felt like a 'free range chicken', with independence and freedom from a young age. Growing up surrounded by beautiful architecture from multiple epochs has made an indelible impression on him, making him able to recognize when something is off or not quite right. This appreciation of beauty carries through to his software development, where he believes in the concept of beauty being linked to the divine and striving to create something that is beautiful and meaningful.
The conversation discussed the concept of beauty and how it is reflected in the physical world. It was argued that beauty can act like a candle that spreads light and that too much of the modern era is focused on creating functional things without considering their aesthetics. The speaker then asked the other person to name something beautiful they had seen or admired in the last couple of years. The other person mentioned the French open source projects that they had observed and admired for their beautiful code and structure. They concluded that the French had developed an eye for beauty due to the fact that they were surrounded by it growing up. Lastly, they mentioned that humans have hardware that enables them to appreciate beauty.
