In this episode, branding strategy expert and the founder of Design Pickle, Russ Perry, and I discuss how building your business’ brand doesn’t have to be a difficult process or expensive. Branding is important for all businesses, but there are many myths associated with it, one being that branding and marketing are the same thing. They are not. Branding is a visual representation of your business, but more importantly, it is who your business is in the eyes of your customers. A good brand is recognizable and connects your product to an emotional experience. It is the identity that expresses your value and worth. In the branding process, you learn to think like your customers and understand their emotional triggers, and to speak to them in a way that demonstrates that you understand their needs.
In this episode, Laura Roeder and I discuss how business owners like you don’t have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to social media. You can re-purpose and recycle your reusable content to get as much mileage out of it as possible. Named as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs under 35, Laura founded a new social media tool known as Edgar to help you stop struggling to keep up with social media marketing tasks. Edgar is automatic, streamlined, and scalable. It will simplify processes, improve efficiency, and free up your time by reposting your content, whether it be your blog posts, emails, news articles, images, graphics, and much more.
As you know, being an entrepreneur is one of the hardest jobs you can take in this world. To be one, you have to be a go-getter, a rule breaker, and a limit pusher. But, in every successful entrepreneur’s “toolkit” or back pocket is a set of tools and traits that keep them on the path to greatness. Ironically, the tools that I recommend in this podcast represent the basics and are nothing fancy. We are all very familiar with them. However, they are rarely implemented. No quick or dirty tips or trick will get you to the life of your dreams without you first building a foundation in yourself and becoming a person of quality. Jim Rohn once said that “we should work harder on ourselves than we do on our job”. Listen here as I share how building an entrepreneur mindset will lay the foundation for achieving your goals and ultimate success.

There are going to be times that things seem difficult, days that you just don’t want to do it but you need to make a habit of reminding yourself of your end goal and constantly working towards it. It might be that you’re trying to lose weight or your trying to reach the next level in your business. No matter what it is, consistency is what it’s going take to get you to your goal.
