Prof. Arvind Sahay, Director and Professor of Marketing and International Business at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, offers valuable insights from his research, “Tariffs, Trade & Tension: How Global Firms Should Rethink Marketing & Exports.”
Prof. Sahay’s teaching and research interests span marketing strategy, pricing, consumer neuroscience, brand management, international trade, and high-tech marketing. He has designed and delivered executive education programs across diverse areas including pricing, fintech, marketing neuroscience, and behavioral science.
Dr. Arvind Sahay has authored 34 international journal articles, 65 business cases, and 50+ popular pieces. His recent work explores brand preference, pricing reactions, and gold consumption in India, including a national RCT for FSSAI (2023). His second bestselling book, Brands and the Brain, came out in April 2022. A recipient of awards from UT Austin, London Business School, and Thinkers50 India, he has held key roles like Dean (Alumni & External Relations) at IIMA and led initiatives like the NSE Centre for Behavioral Science. With 35+ years of boardroom experience, he also enjoys trekking, badminton, golf, and constitutional law.
Before joining MDI Gurgaon, Professor Sahay was a distinguished faculty member at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and previously at London Business School, following his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
