I remember some years back after I graduated law school, I was doing some consulting work and I had secured this in-person meeting with a Fortune 500 executive team. When I got to the company’s office, I was greeted in the lobby by the executive assistant who took me to this cool conference room and asked whether I would care for chilled or flavored water. I smiled in response. I certainly care for water.
As I organized my meeting materials on the table of this cool conference room, the memory of growing up in Nigeria, sitting
in hot classrooms and walking several miles to fetch clean water, poured into my mind. Those childhood experiences were not necessarily good or bad, they were just different. In fact, they were interesting. Life is interesting when you have to do more with less to earn your water.
But in a world where many of us now have the option of chilled or flavored water, can we do more with less time to help others do more in less time? Yes. Enter #OperationWaterChallenge #ThisIsMyWalk
