In Episode #6 of Busybee Refinishing with MelDidItHerself, I announce something pretty huge in my world… I quit my 9-5 job to pursue my passion, my furniture refinishing business, FULL-TIME!

It feels pretty surreal to know that as of this episode going live, I will be working my second last day at my safe, stable government job and soon will be a self-employed entrepreneur. But guys, I am SO excited, so looking forward to the challenge and to get some freedom to pursue the projects that I just haven’t been able to find the time in the day to be able to execute while working full-time, doing MelDidItHerself furniture work, and also being consistent on social media… not to mention, still being able to have some Me Time and spend time with the things that are most important in life, like my friends, my family, and my husband :)

But today’s episode is so much more than an announcement, because since I have begun letting people know about my decision, I have been discovering something pretty profound about regret and the chances we don’t take in life.

I don’t want to end up with those kind of regrets, and I don’t want them for you, either. So join me in this episode as I discuss my journey of how I ended up in the position of making the decision of whether or not I wanted to continue to climb the ladder, and how I evaluated whether my ladder was leaning up against the right building or not.
