We live in a dark world and the temptation for every Christian is to conform to this world, walking in the darkness rather than in the light. If we are to witness Christ in this world, we know we must have courage to be different. But how? Ephesians 5:1-21 shows us 4 key ways we are to walk as children of light in a world full of darkness.

It is not difficult to notice that our world is deeply divided. We are divided by race, religion, social status, political persuasion and more. We tend to protect our own kind and reject those who are different. Our world longs for unity. But no matter how hard we try to create it, it never really works. But there is one place in this world where true unity can be found: the Church. Because Ephesians 2:11-22 tells us that the gospel is for all and has the power to unite.

Head knowledge is insufficient without heart transformation. In Ephesians 1:15-23, we’re reminded that true knowledge of God is not simply knowing intellectual facts about God and the gospel, but having those facts so penetrate our hearts, that they transform our lives at the deepest core.
