Butcher Bay Rejects episodes

  • BBR Ep 48 “Thanos Was Right”
The Butcher Bay Rejects review episode 5 of “Dexter: New Blood” (Runaway) and cover episodes 4-8 of season three of “Lost in Space”. They cover episode 4 of “Hawkeye” (Partners. Am I Right?). The movie challenge gauntlet is thrown down and Marc had to watch one of Greg’s favourite comedies, the criminally underrated “Hot Tub Time Machine” starring Rob Corddry and John Cusack and Greg had to watch 1986’s (of course Marc’s movie choice would be from the 80’s!) “The Wraith” starring Charlie Sheen, 80’s goddess Sherilyn Fenn and Randy Quaid. Marc makes a case for season 2 of “Cowboy Bebop” on Netflix even though the streaming giant just cancelled plans for a follow-up season. Marc geeks out over the new “Halo” live action trailer coming to Paramount + in 2022 and talks about the season 2 trailer for “Superman and Lois” on the CW coming out on January 11 2022. They both gush over the new season of Fortnite that came out last week. Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts.

They get excited for the new season of Fortnite and review the trailer for “Jack Reacher” coming out on Amazon Prime Video on February 4 2022 starring Titans own Alan Ritchson. They also talk about the second trailer for HBO Max’s “Peacemaker” starring John Cena coming out on January 13, 2022.

  • BBR Ep 46 “Hawkeye Hits the Bullseye”
The boys cover episode 3 of “Dexter: New Blood” (Smoke Signals) and the beyond amazing “Arcane: League of Legends” on Netflix. If you are on the fence about watching show, get off the damn fence! It’s amazing and you don’t have to play the game or like anime to enjoy this fantastic show. They also review the first two episodes of the excellent and light-hearted “Hawkeye” on Disney + (Never Meet Your Heroes & Hide and Seek). They also review the new hotly anticipated Christmas movie on HBO Max “8 Bit Christmas” starring Neil Patrick Harris. If you are nostalgic for the 80’s you will love this movie! • BBR Ep 44 “Toilet Vodka Enthusiasts”
The boys eagerly review episode one of Dexter: New Blood (Cold Snap) and geek out over Netflix’s giant action blockbuster “Red Notice” written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and starring The Rock, Ryan Reynolds and the always gorgeous and talented, Gal Gadot. They talk a whole lotta Disney + Day 2021! They review “Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett” the new “Willow” series starring Warwick Davis, the animated series revival of the 1990’s X-Men cartoon which will be called “X-Men ‘97” and touch on “Moon Knight, She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel” all coming to Disney + in 2022. They get excited over the new trailer for the third and final season of “Lost in Space” coming to Netflix on December 1, 2021. They are against the recent rumours of a possible remake of the greatest B movie ever made, 1989’s “Road House” starring the great and dearly departed Patrick Swayze. They mention Henry Cavill wanting to play Captain Britain and the Rejects concur!

  • BBR Ep 43 “Dune, a Spice Opera”
Marc and Greg review “Dune” directed by Denis Villeneuve and the prequel to Army of the Dead, “Army of Thieves”. They are excited for the just-announced season 2 of “Heels” on Starz and in gaming news, Jinx from League of Legends was just added to the Fortnite skin locker and some kid who doesn’t have to work or go to school apparently, just broke level 1000 in Fortnite. The rejects geek out over the latest “Morbius” trailer and the come-out-of-nowhere “Book of Boba Fett” trailer Disney released last week unannounced! #itsgonnabeagoodchristmas! And speaking of Christmas…HBO Max just dropped the trailer for “8-Bit Christmas” (coming out Nov 24 2021), which is a modern-day retelling of 1983’s “A Christmas Story”. In that movie, a kid named Ralphie in the 1940’s wanted a BB gun. Except in this case, instead of the classic “official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock”, the desired toy in the 1980’s was the elusive “Nintendo Entertainment System”. This movie is destined to become a holiday staple and classic and Greg and Marc can’t wait to review the nutmeg outta this thing!

  • BBR Ep 42 “Larry Katz”
In this special episode, Greg & Marc sit down with Assistant Director, Larry Katz. Larry talks about his time getting a coveted internship with the Director’s Guild of America Training Program and also being an instructor at Full Sail University, where he graduated from in 2000. Larry recounts his path to becoming an Assistant Director on big-budget movies such as “Captain America: The First Avenger”, “X-Men: First Class” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” to name just a few. He talks about his time on these movies as well as some of the television work he has done. He tells a very cool story about visiting the set of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at Pinewood Studios in England and if you are a die-hard Star Wars nerd, you will love this story. He also talks about the time he acted opposite someone who has been nominated for a record 21 Oscars and won three of them (yes, it’s Meryl Streep, who else?!). Please enjoy this episode with a very entertaining person and a great storyteller ! Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts.
