Listen to me and Leah Abraham talk about how the way we handle food with our children can make an impact on them into adulthood. Food represents so much more to children than just fuel for the body. Food fuels the mind and when handled with care it elevates there spirit. Our Conscious Parenting series continues with a thought provoking discussion on food.

Ritu Pasrija talked with me and Leah and encouraged Soul Parenting not Conscious Parenting. We talked about allowing our children to live their universal truth, work through their emotions, embrace tears, and embody the energy that flows through us and our children. Talking with Ritu was music to our ears. Remember this is not perfect parenting, in this episode it's not even Conscious Parenting, its Soul Parenting.

We invited our friend Sara Almaraz to talk about what Conscious Parenting is for her, especially while she navigates a healing journey from childhood trauma. During the conversation we talked about advocating for our children, giving them a voice, and offering them a different approach than was given to us. Over the past episodes we talked about how difficult parenting can be and in this episode discuss the roller coaster ride when parenting after childhood trauma. Remember to be kind and compassionate to yourself! Be curious about your healing!

As the Conscious Parenting Series continue, Leah and I are diving into different topics that can be difficult for parents. In this episode we talk about how we handle our children when they are ill. In this high achieving always on the go society often our children are seen as a disruption to the routine when they are ill. We talk about steps to take to make sure they feel loved, nurtured and connected, why you the parent take a pause and breathe.
In this episode we explore the complex topic of discipline. Leah and I tackle this topic with our truth and growth as parents. This is not about telling you how to parent, it's about encouraging awareness. There is no one size fit all when it comes to parenting and the job doesn't come with a manual. However, we tend to parent the way we were parented, so we encourage you to pause and become conscious. The topic of discipline might be triggering to you so please treat yourself with compassion and kindness.

Do you feel like you are being judged as a parent by the person in line at the store, or other parents? It is like the whole world is watching and judging. In this episode of Conscious Parenting Leah Abraham and I explored the topic of how other people's expectations influence our decisions as parents. We talked about the need to take a pause before reacting, being consistent with our response in the house and outside, building a harmonious relationship with our children, and most importantly to become aware of how we show up as parents. This series is to remind you that you are not alone in the hard job as a parent.

Have you ever wondered why you feel like you can't get it right as a parent? In this podcast Leah Abraham and I talk about how parenting is hard, and conscious parenting can be even more difficult as if forces us to face ourselves. This is why our tagline is "Conscious Parenting Not Perfect Parenting". In Part 1 of our weekly series on Conscious Parenting, we focus on the importance of parenting ourselves so that we can be aware of why we show up the way we do with our children. Why are you triggered by your children. Why do you hear your mother's words coming out of your mouth? As humans our core belief system drives our behaviors, but becoming aware, being an observer, and taking action to do something different is what this podcast is about.
