When you are born in fear you grow up looking for love. My conversation with Coach Val was a wonderful reminder that love is a game changer.

Vanessa and I  spoke candidly about breaking the cycle of silence around the sexual trauma she endured as child.

Vanessa Guevara worked in corporate for several years as a Human Resources Professional, but knew she needed to change her career. She was not fulfilled, she was not happy. She knew she wanted to make a positive impact on people's lives. She always loved motivating and inspiring her friends, even people she just met. It made her feel great, she knew she had a gift to serve. 

Several years ago she hit an all time low, she was broke living in the projects with her mom. She knew something had to change. She didn't like the way she looked or felt.  Vanessa started going to the gym sparingly, she needed the inspiration to keep consistent with her workout regimen. She made a big life change.
