On this episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show, the new owner and principal of Astor Legal, Avinash Singh, chats with host Jerome Doraisamy about why he wanted to purchase an existing legal practice rather than starting a new one from scratch, the pros and cons of such a decision, and how he managed the process of purchasing.

Mr Singh also offered advice to other lawyers who may want to run their own legal businesses, what he learned along the way, and what works and doesn't work when it comes to the financial, professional and personal complexities of acquiring a law firm.
