  • 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reichel Vineyard, Alexander Valley

2014 BYINGTON CABERNET SAUVIGNON REICHEL VINEYARD

Alexander Valley in Sonoma has long been recognized for producing rich, full flavored Cabernet Sauvignon. Reichel Vineyard, located in the hills high above the valley floor, produces wine of even greater depth and character. This wine shows great ripeness and extract with full, fruit forward flavors and ample tannin for long term aging. Cellar this wine for 6-10 years for added flavor and complexity.

  • 2014 Byington Vineyard Pinot Noir Block 4 Estate, Santa Cruz Mountains

This Pinot Noir has been reserved from the rest of the Estate vineyard fruit due to the distinct individual character and westward facing location of Block 4. The terroir creates fruit that is earthy and robust, adding elegance to this Santa Cruz Mountains wine. It has dark cherry fruit on the nose with a lingering finish on the palate. Fermentation and maturation in 100% French oak for 14 months enhanced its flavor and complexity. Enjoy now or age 4 to 6 years.

  • Merlot, Tin Cross Vineyard, Alexander Valley, 2015

2015 BYINGTON MERLOT TIN CROSS VINEYARD

The 2015 vintage produced a particularly low yield and small berries for this 100% Merlot from the Sofia Block of our Tin Cross Vineyard - and we couldn’t be happier. These conditions resulted in bold tannin structure and highly concentrated flavors including plum, dried herbs, and vanilla. Aged 22 months in American Oak. Enjoy now, or cellar up to 8 years for added complexity. Purchase at this link:

  • Cabernet Sauvignon, Tin Cross Vineyard, Alexander Valley, 2014

2014 BYINGTON CABERNET SAUVIGNON TIN CROSS VINEYARD

This “Mountain Cab” grows at 2,000 ft. elevation from the oldest plantings of our Tin Cross Vineyard in Alexander Valley. Aged for 22 months in American Oak, the wine sings a melody of fresh red and black berries, lush green forest brush, and hints of leather, with a round, delicate mouthfeel. Pair now with fall-apart-in-your-mouth meats, or enjoy a more rustic red with aged meats and stews after holding 6 years.
