A testament to our Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, and the product of a particularly difficult vintage which produced only 30% of the normal yield, this triumph offers bright cherries, and a slight tartness reminiscent of a strawberry-and-rhubarb recipe. Classic notes of dry earth add to the complexity, and culminate in a tireless bright finish. Pair with dried fruit & nuts, and dishes with Feta cheese, olives, arugula, parmesan.

Chardonnay Reserve, Tin Cross Vineyards, Alexander Valley, 2016

CORRECTION: In this episode, we stated the wine comes from "Harrison Block" (this is the reserve block that the 2016 comes from). Both the Sparkling and stainless steel Chardonnays come from the lower block (as mentioned in the recording), but this is called "Meron Block."
