Byte Sized Blessings | Paranormal Stories, Divine Encounters & Magical Happenings!

Welcome to this week's episode and my convo with Rob Bach! (and I really struggled to name this episode this week because I could have also used:

*High Fidelity Then And Always!
*The 80's Were Something Else!
*Can You Believe We Included Flock of Seagulls & Falco in One Episode? Anyone remember that oldie but goodie "Rock Me Amadeus?" Sheesh I love that song!)

BUT, really, it's all about Rob, and his story this week- that of a powerful ancestry that reminded Rob again and again, that he could survive anything! From gunshot wounds to the head (yes, the person survived) to disability affecting lives, Rob and his family are a powerful reminder that with family and community, all is not lost. We talk music this episode, the movie "High Fidelity", Rob's time working in a record store, and how he ended up doing what he is doing now!

To check out Rob and what kind of magic he's bringing into the world, click here!

PLEASE CONSIDER RATING AND REVIEWING, IT WOULD MAKE ME SO HAPPY!

Your bit of beauty is this this week, a trailer for the movie "High Fidelity", an iconic representation of what it looked like at the time to work at a neighborhood record store, with all of it's quirky characters and real-life drama! Man oh man do I miss those record stores!

Welcome to October dear ones!

I've decided to release a few updated bonus episodes, and revist some of the ghost and ghoulie stories that have been shared over the years! This first story comes courtesy of Norman B, guest of Ep. 140, oh so long ago! And if you remember, he shares his story of meeting a ghost called Alice!

Here's his wiki in case you want to check Norman out!

Happy Ghost Hunting everyone!

Because of some weird tech issues, the last part of Salaam's incredible interview got cut off when uploading! But that's OK, because it is allowing me to showcase her poem in it's entirety here in it's own separate little episode. It is breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly masterful. And as well, it is an incredible gift, to all of us!

Hello all!

Welcome to the SIGNS & WONDERS HOTLINE...

I had so many people sharing their sweet stories of encounter and mystery and I thought, why not create a place where they can share if they want to? So...drumroll please, this sweet hotline for you to share your story, with your name or anonymously, for me to share with the world. It's another way we can all support one another in this time of stress and division...we all need reminders of the goodness in the world, the magic in the world, and so when you share, know that you are helping nourish other's hearts.

Please call and leave your three minute story (if you need more time, call back!) 209-498-7501!

Thanks so much everyone, for listening to the pod and supporting and nourishing hearts everywhere!

OK...I still have to pinch myself...because my guest this week was so much medicine for my heart, for my soul, and words escape me as to how to introduce her and her loveliness. Which is ironic, because Salaam Green is absolutely full of words as Birmingham, Alabama's Inaugural Poet Laureate. She is creating beauty every step she takes, reconciling the land and the soul so that each can speak to the other; and giving voice to those long forgotten. Salaam Green is, quite simply, a world-builder, and she's bringing us along for the ride! (thank goodness).

For the longer form interview this week, please do not miss Salaam reading one of her poems, because I think/know it will change your life!

To read up on Salaam and her potent work, click here for her website!

To purchase her groundbreaking book, "The Other Revival, Poems & Reckonings," click here.

It's not often that one gets introduced to someone who is wielding such powerful magic, such powerful beauty, so I know that I am going to come back again and again to this episode when days are too hard for my heart.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO RATE AND REVIEW THE PODCAST WHEREVER YOU LISTEN. IT WARMS THE BARREN COCKLES OF MY HEART!

Your bit of beauty is this: an introduction to Salaam, from the City of Birmingham! Take a gander and meet Salaam in real life (well, sorta real life!) on YouTube, and witness her grace in action!

Catarina's life has been one of adventure! Not one to shy away from difficult and forbidding places, she has definitely chosen the road less traveled! Encounters with snakes, with strangers, and with the mystery that is life, have all been part and parcel of her story. She never turns away from encounter...and that has made all the difference. She's a dreamer, an author, a dragon whisperer and someone quite comfortable in liminal places...and she mines those places for us, to bring pieces of treasure, back into the world. (and why does she do this you may ask? well, it's to make the world a more beautiful place!)

To check out her website click here! And to buy her book "The Spirit Dragon's Keeper" click here! (support indie authors everyone!) With 54 FIVE STAR reviews, you just know she's got a fabulous series on her hands!

WHEREVER YOU LISTEN TO THE POD, PLEASE RATE AND REVIEW. IT'S SO IMPORTANT AND SUCH A KINDNESS...SO THANK YOU!

Your bit of beauty this episode is a bit more information on the Sámi peoples! They (among many other ways of being) herd reindeer, of which there are about 260,000 in Sweden! And did you know that Suovas is a protected word that refers to smoked reindeer meat, which is rich in minerals and very lean...just perfect for your paleo diet everyone! There are many more goodies like the above intel...so be sure to check the link out and educate yourself about all things Sámi!

My guest this week is just the BEST-and the best is named Daniel Wargo! Not only does he have a job I drool over...(and yes, the pun is intentional), he's funny, he's unstoppable, AND, he has a very sweet dog named Sherman, who becomes oh-so-important during our conversation!

Daniel is all over my Insta feed, and that's because he is everywhere, all at once, tasting and testing and yumming over delectable food items all over the U.S. From Orange County to New York, Daniel's the man when it comes to getting out there and telling us what to eat, how to eat it, and where the best of the best is! To check out his Insta, forkingaround.tv, click here! And to check out Daniel's TikTok, click here!
As Daniel says, "This is a food party!", so join him, as he dives into the food scene!

I need to thank him for his generosity and kindness for appearing on the show! (and we will be sending in the evidence to get Sherman in process for becoming a Saint!) ;-)

THANKS TO ALL WHO LISTEN AND ALSO-PLEASE REMEMBER TO RATE AND REVIEW! MMMM, thanks!

Your bit of beauty is this: this collection of bloopers, courtesy of Daniel and forkingaround.tv! Enjoy them and remember that life is delicious!
