Byte Sized Blessings | Paranormal Stories, Divine Encounters & Magical Happenings!

Emerald Carter shares two stories in this episode, but for those of you listening to the Byte-there's only one!

In this episode my beautiful guest shares: how a book can change one's life, how a stranger in the neighborhood can suddenly become a friend, how in the midst of a truly frightening episode, one is watched over and tended (by both humans and Spirit).

I'm grateful to this incredible human for sharing her story, it's a very vulnerable one. It reminds me that even in the midst of uncertainty and being lost, people we don't know can show up and be of service. It's this kind of story that helps the world go round! (In that being of service to ANYONE becomes the norm, rather than the exception!)

Happy New Year all, and don't forget that I'm still asking for the Christmas present of a rating or a review for the pod! Those sweet ratings help other people discover the work that I'm doing here!

Elizabeth Jarrett Andrew has several stories to tell this week, and each are enchanting! This delightful author of several books has clearly been called from the start to a magical and delicious life! We talk how even the darkness has potentials in it (so perfect for the shortest day of the year on the 21st!!) and how going through a dark night of the soul can prepare one for the profoundest magic in one's life.

Her stories of her childhood dreams had my jaw dropping with their very clear messages, but I don't want to spoil the surprise...suffice it to say that sometimes that beautiful Energy that enlivens this Universe wants to make it very clear very early that one has a job to do in this life!

What does it mean to listen to your heart? Well, for starters, it might mean ending up in an incredible house on a peninsula in Bali! My guest, Layard Thompson, tells of listening and then following...and the gifts that come from that. We talk Trickster (again!), the Hero's Journey, and how our Hearts are really our most potent superpower! (Hint: they kinda know everything!!)

Layard Thompson is currently writing a transformational novel with semi-autobiographical and sci-fi twists. He's a practicing alchemist who guides clients to create the life they love. Thusfar, his life includes being a professional performing artist, a steward of queer sanctuaries, an intuitive body worker, alongside many other magical and creative pursuits.

He is a gardener, a builder, friend to animals, a lover of people, and devoted to a life guided by intuition.

Sally Smith is both captivating and intelligent, and both of these traits shine through as she regaled me with multiple stories of magic! Including:

1. How she learned that magic was a VERY REAL THING in the Amazon,
2. How Our Lady of Guadalupe is a very potent healing force,
3. And finally, that the Forest Trickster, Chullachaqui, is alive and well, and looking for those he can lead off into the jungle!

I suspect Sally's superpower is her sense of humor, because one of her tales comes with a trigger warning...but still, she laughs and reflects on the lesson learned in that encounter~and I think that humor and awe might be what saves us in the end...but Sally is already there, out in front, showing that with both of these traits, even the most mysterious happenings can be faced with grace! (and then shared, so that others can learn as well!)

Please consider rating and reviewing the pod, it means so very much to me!

Junko Nagao lives to light people up...by encouraging them to mine not only their brilliance, but also their shadows! She grew up surrounded by Shintoism as well as Buddhism, and it's clear that both have left their mark on her.

From a young age she was deeply immersed in the Japanese worldview of Shinto, and the spirits that came with it. Sensitive to the world around her, Junko soon understood that the entire world is one of magic, and one she wanted to experience to the fullest. Not only does she rock the world with her own podcast, "Return to Wonder," she also lifts others up and helps them to realize their potential.

Much like fish, who live in water but don't really understand "what that means," Junko feels that we live in a world of magic, above us, below us, around us and within us. But do we truly comprehend what that means? We tackle all this and more in this episode, so put on your seatbelts!

Dont' forget to talk the pod up to everyone you meet! You never know when it's going to be the perfect answer to someone's bummer of a day!
