Christina Ramirez talks two magical occurences in this episode-the first is about home, and where she and her kids would live...Santa Fe is already a dicey place to find a home in this market, but somehow, one day, everything came together to find a place to lay their heads! It took one sleepy teenager, and skipping a day of snowboarding, but in the end, they got exactly what they needed.
The next miracle has to do with her kids and their musical abilities...2 and 3 year olds in a band? It's hard to imagine kids that age being that committed, but they really were, and are-and are now attending the Santa Fe School for the Arts. But it was what one elderly woman told her one day that allowed Christina to know that the relationship between musician and instrument is far more sacred than she imagined.

And, my lovelies, I will see you next week for another episode full of magic and mystery!
Amy Adams is indomitable, and her miracle story really touched me, especially as I am doing my own deep work to excavate just who I am...(a life-long process really, if we're lucky!) Sometimes it's our ancestors who give us gifts, sometimes our ancestors give us lessons, and sometimes...they give us stories we need to unpack and heal. Amy shares just such a story in this episode, and it'll be sure to touch your heart!
We also talk trauma, the lacquer that coats each of us thanks to the stories our culture and families and friends share with us (helpful or not!) and the size of the chisel we're going to need to chip that lacquer off! (Hint: it's pretty big). BUT, as Amy shares, there is infinite hope in all this chisel work, and when we are done, (Hint: also we might never be done) we can bring our more authentic and shinier selves to the world.
Thanks so much for listening, and please remember, sharing is caring! This little pod needs to be out in the world, changing hearts and opening minds...be shameless and share with everyone!
See you next week for another episode of the pod, and until then? Be shiny and help make this world a more beautiful place!
Rosemary Carroll and I talk Sasquatch in this episode...I know, I know...you're thinking...WHAT? But really, this fantastical creature shows up in many people's lives! And by the way, have you been keeping up with the latest Loch Ness Monster news? This week it's all cryptids, all the time! Yay for all you creature lovers out there!
Rosemary is a delight, AND, she's a performance artist, poet, author & dancer, among many other things. She's also able to stay in the space of joy and imagination (and that's why I love her, among many other things!) We talk Sasquatch & her secret friend when she lived in India as a child...and both conversations are worth hearing.
I don't tell my guests what to say, so what comes up is a complete surprise...and that keeps me going! You know what else helps? RATINGS & REVIEWS. Please rate and review the pod, wherever you find it. It helps other cryptid lovers find us!
And don't forget to share the pod with others...because as His Holiness the Dalai Lama says, “Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.”
Katherine Seluja is a pediatric nurse and poet, whose latest work, "Point of Entry" has just been released by University of New Mexico Press. She reads two of her poems in this episode, and both are beautiful creations, and one even addresses a family miracle that happened oh so long ago!
We talk bravery and courage, the power our ancestors have and delicious Italian Sunday dinners. But it's her last story, the miracle of what happened when her Mother was in a coma, that got me. For Katherine, our ancestors are our miracles, and the stories they leave behind are magical, powerful gifts.
Please remember to share these podcasts with everyone and anyone! And also, I ask that you rate and review the podcast, as it helps other people find us.
See you next week for another magical episode!
