Scouting ahead with familiars, Quinn and Annabel spot a horrifying scene: a young woman bound, surrounded by armed men, with bodies already lying lifeless in the leaves. There’s no time to debate. Steel is drawn. Spells crackle. And the party charges. ⚔️🔥

Everything changes when Annabel recognizes the girl—Miller’s sister.

Rage overtakes strategy. Miller barrels forward through arrows and fear, tearing his sister free in one fluid motion before turning his fury on the man holding her. Bones break. The ground shakes. And a symbol carved into the attacker’s face pulses with dark, necrotic power as he whispers the name of a dark lord. 🩸👁️

The forest explodes into violence. Eldritch blasts tear through fleeing attackers. Blades flash between the trees. Mercy is no longer a question—only survival. When the last enemy falls, the cost of the fight becomes clear. Some from Norvale escaped the gnolls… only to meet a different end in the woods. 🌑

As Miller holds his sister and the party stabilizes the wounded, one truth settles heavily over them all: the world after Crownfall is cruel, chaotic, and hunting the weak.
