Sleep doesn’t last long in Crownfall.

As the party continues their cautious journey back toward the outpost, Annabel hears something chilling during her watch—a distant scream echoing through the darkness of the forest. Not once, but twice. 🌙🌲

The sound is wrong.

Muffled. Painful. Desperate.

Unsure whether it’s a trap, a prisoner, or something even stranger, Annabel and Quinn immediately begin investigating. Familiars are sent into the night. Headcounts are taken. Bram is watched closely. But the scream remains unexplained. 👁️

Soon, Miller and Thelandor are awakened, and the four adventurers make a choice that has become all too familiar:

They head straight toward the danger. ⚔️

Guided only by moonlight and instinct, Annabel, Quinn, Miller, and Thelandor push deeper into the woods until they discover a small lean-to hidden among the trees. A campfire burns softly beneath it. Two figures sit in the darkness.

And one of them appears to be the source of the screams. 🔥

But as the party watches from a distance, something feels off.

This isn’t a torture scene.

This isn’t an ambush.

At least… it doesn’t seem to be.

🕯️ Crownfall continues to remind the party that not every mystery in the wilds can be solved with steel.
